Yeah they'd need to start with vr world's.

It's a good price though. Skyrim alone in vr is fucktastic

Game are throwing in Resi 7 and 3 months of Now TV on top of that Mega pack for no extra cost. Absolute bargain.

Even vr world's is vomit inducing. Even the more sedentary ones have movement, the shark one for instance.

Sony should really be rating the games based on intensity or something. When you go on the forums and you see people posting that they've just played 6 hours of Wipeout and they are throwing up, well it really makes me think that Sony should be a bit clearer about how to adjust to vr.

In saying that, I'm glad they've produced games that ignored those shitty rules. I think PC vr was seriously hampered by them I. The early days.

Surprisingly, I didn't have any issues with Resi. The snap turn function works pretty well. I just couldn't see myself playing the entire game like that, especially any running sequence. I would bump into something all the time.

Not from my experience of playing the whole game in VR (unlike all you babies in this thread!) The snap turn and slow movement speed help a lot.

In fact the only game that's made my feel unwell in VR was Doom VFR with free movement switched on.

I won't get motion sick with RE7, I'm just shit scared of it.

But I'd imagine RE7 and all the other games in that pack would be pretty nausea inducing for a newbie without vr legs.

Has anyone got Ultrawings? Is it worth it? I'm sorely tempted.

Surprised you didn't play it on the Vive? It was going for pennies even a couple of years back in the sales.

No, my Vive has been locked up for a while to be honest. With moving house and two Baba arrivals in quick succession has meant little scope for it. I have it ready setup inmy smaaaaaaalll computer room for assetto Corsa, but I just find the PSVR way less of a pain in the arse to get going.

Is it worth getting though? Looks quite fun.

It's a low rent, so-so, PilotWings esque game. I faffed about with it, but it tripped my simulator sickness something fierce so didn't put all that much time into it. Might be better optimised now. Get it in a sale if it sounds like your sorta thing. Very much a content-lite game from the early VR days.

Really, the motion sickness was that bad? Have you tried any other flight Sims and felt the same? I've played a couple in VR on the pc and never felt bad.

This was from waaaay back. I have better VR legs than I did then, but I'm still susceptible. It's the usual "traveling one way, looking another, because I'm in a fully open cockpit" moments that get you. Well, that get me at any rate. If you're less effected in general then you'll be fine.

I was OK in Eve Valkyrie and that PSVR X-Wing mission thing and also the Wipeout demo more recently. I'd guess it's the more enclosed cockpits, and in the latter case the simplified flight model. YMMV, sounds like you'd be fine.

Itís a lot of fun if you can stomach it. Especially once you unlock the fighter and the stunt plane.

Rush looks cool, though at £19.99 (for us non-plus peasants) I'll probably wait till it goes a bit cheaper.

Sony are now doing a VR Mega Pack with the headset, camera and 5 games (Vr Worlds, Astrobot, Doom VFR, Skyrim and Wipeout) for £230. Surely only the tightest of skinflints wouldn't jump in on that deal?

As someone who paid £290 at the beginning of the year for just the Starter Pack (which was a V1 unit as well, fuckers) the constant price drops are a bit irksome.
Yeah, still fucks me off a bit.
Though, tbh, it's more the internet wiseguys screaming "it won't get cheaper than this!" when I bought it. Since then they've been wrong roughly 700 times.

I can understand the price drop being a bit annoying but it's 2 years old now. I think it's just Sony trying to get more punters involved as hopefully they shift enough units so the vr thing doesn't just dry up and end abruptly like so many other techs do.

With ps5 a year or so away and a higher res vr headset with a more powerful console, games will keep evolving. I was an early ps3 adopter which cost about £500 with an extra controller and a couple of games. Never again, I'll always wait at least a year before taking the plunge.

    @up_the_ante

Woah, at first I thought that looked ok and then it did the rolls! That might take a bit of getting used to!

Took me a little while to get used to rolls in Ultrawings but it did come. Can't wait to try that.

Ace Combat is definitely my most anticipated VR game. Hope itís as good as it looks.
As great as the Star Wars VR mission was I found it limiting that you couldnít roll the X-Wing like the old Lucasarts games.

I'll ask my mum if she's still got it, but I'd be surprised if the receipt still allowed it.

Also, has anyone else checked the rubber that sits just above your eyes? I mean, three vigorous sessions with beat saber and already looks like it's starting to perish.

I may well have particularly corrosive sweat, though. (Or an alien variant.)
