Crow The Legend is well worth a watch. Free 20 minute Pixar type VR film with some beautiful visuals. I was really impressed. |

It's just on PSN in the VR game section. -

You were? Not to be the twat of the thread, but this was some pretty low rent shit. Even Frodo the Hedgehog (or whatever that shit was called) on Rift a couple of years back knocked it into a cocked hat. Maybe that's just my natural prejudiced dislike of VR video talking though. Realtime or GTFO, frankly.

Put this up against something like Dear Angelica and there's no competition for my money (there's no money, they're both free) in terms of emotional impact and imaginative visuals. -

Registered 15 years agoOh, and onto World 2 of Astrobot now. Keeps getting better and better, really imaginative and impressive stuff. Shame so many of the harder to see bots require getting up and moving around and looking into nooks and crannies as my setup/room/radio interference/chuntey field really doesn't handle it very well.
On the plus side, got my Moves this week (cheers PrivateFloyd!!!) so will start to tuck into those games and experiences next. Stand by for whining and griping. -
It's the first VR film I've watched but yeah I thought it was pretty great. The stuff in space was very good I thought. "Dear Angelica" sounds worse than herpes quite frankly. Fucking Dear Angelica, what kind of name is that for something? -

Registered 15 years agoAh, in which case there's other stuff out there that should knock your socks off. It really wasn't great, imho, but as with all things VR every 'first' tends to strike a chord.
Maybe that's why I love (fucking) Eagle (fucking) Flight so much...
...no. FUCKING EAGLE FUCKING FLIGHT IS JUST THE BEST VR GAME EVER THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT AND IT'S A FACT AND FUCK YOU ALL. -

Registered 14 years agoHmm, I think there has only been one bot in Astrobot where I have had to lean forward to see it. I haven't had to get up for any others although I do crane my neck round.
Love that game. -

Registered 9 years agoFor me it would be Rez as GOTY, given that I only got my VR this year. 2018 releases Beat Saber, but I haven't picked up Astrobot yet. Can't be good enough to beat rhythm action light sabers though surely? -

I'm going back to find all the bots I missed in Astrobot tonight!
The one thing that annoys me about the Ace Combats is the infinite missile thing. Although I appreciate that having to land after using 4 missiles would spoil the fun somewhat.
