I ordered one on ShopTo t'other night. Should be arriving on Weds \o/

Happily, both Rez and Thumper are on sale, so I'll be grabbing those, too. I might nab Polybius too, as it's pretty cheap.

I'll have to buy some bloody Moves at some point, won't I? I bought one years back but never even used it. Can I find the bastard thing? Of course not.

To be honest, the only games I bother with the moves with are Beat Saber and Skyrim. Maybe some of the gallery shooters like Blasters of the Universe and Rush of Blood.

Unfortunately for you, they're probably worth getting with just for Beat Saber.

Aye, Beat Saber is the reason I'll end up with a pair.

Polybius. Wtf! That game is batshit crazy. I have no fucking clue what's going on!

Oh yeah, Happy New Year folks!

Does anyone know if the aim controller has been discontinued? Or has it just become incredibly popular due to Christmas? Smyths had a few of the bundles for sale, but have recently sold out and nowhere has any stock. The ones I do find seem to be stupidly priced.

I really want Tetris but can't justify spending £35 on it.

I'm patiently waiting for Tetris and Beat Sabre to go on sale. Hopefully will be able to get both for half price within a few months.

I've stocked up on games from the sale, to my recent Borderlands 2, Dirt Rally, Polybius, and GT Sport purchases I've added Doom, Arizona Sunshine, Gnog, The Persistance, and AstroBot.

Played one level of Gnog, which was delightful. Done the first world of AstroBot and that little fucker is so adorable.

OK, I've taken the plunge on Beat Saber. Feel free to add EGPhattso so I can start slamming your highscores.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good charging stations? Would love something that charges two moves and two controllers that you can just plug into the wall. Hard to know the quality of some of these third party products.

Alternative solutions would also be welcome.

My missus got me this one a few months ago that does the job and keeps the headset out of the way.

Thankfully the big glowing blue light can be switched off.

I just got an 8 quid 4 port hub off Amazon and have one lead for charging moves, one for joypad, and the PSVR permanently in there, leaving one free for either the steering wheel or the headset dongle. (I'd read that usb HDD isn't always agreeable with these things, so the other PS4 port is for that).
No problems with it at all.

@AboutHalfaStevas I might go with that. Although I have heard you canít charge more than 2 things at once from the console. Any truth to that?

Ooh, Ultrawings is in the sale- is it worth the £6.49?

That may be a limitation of the PS4 itself, which makes sense.
It may also be the case that it won't charge them while in rest mode (via my hub, anyway); you might find one which does though - I dunno.

I never have my PS4 in rest mode anyway, so this doesn't bother me.

So. Wipeout cockpit view in VR. Crikey.

That's blown my tiny mind, that has.

It's sort of neat, but expect something more like Pilotwings rather than a flight sim.

(Also, I could easily turn off all the blinders, but switching off the horizon levelisation made me feel queasy rather quickly, so I very much left that one).

Yeah. It kinda blows my mind that anyone who had their mind even remotely blown by the PS1 version way back, isn't completely floored by it in PSVR.
(And I don't just mean by the motion sickness.)

@AboutHalfaStevas I hadn't played much of Omega Collection - as brilliant as it is, it's all content I've played to death elsewhere.

This, though. This makes me want to play every single part of it. I also find it quite comfortable to play, luckily!

Think I'll grab Thumper once Astro Bot is finished installing.

    And Rez.
    Must. Do. Rez.

I'd say Beat Saber is a must also.

    And maybe firewall. Maybe.

Only get firewall if you either have or are willing to get the aim.

Even then, whether it works flawlessly is a lottery.

    But if it does...

Well Thumper is a bit mad, eh? I like it.

Only did two levels, mind. Then moved onto Astro Bot and did the first world there. Good so far! Neither have wowed me quite as much as Wipeout did, but I reckon that's probably going to be a high bar.

Rez is a definite, but I'm going to leave it a few days until I've played through a few of the things I got today. It's on sale til the 18th, so I'll grab it before then.

Beat Saber I'll get when I get the Moves.

@ChrisOTR Nice lap :D I am incredibly rusty these days and won't be getting anywhere close to that.

Yeah, that's actually the biggest problem with wipeout. It's pretty much a perfect fit for PSVR, and the graphics are possibly the best on the platform, so... If you play that first, it's possibly all downhill from then!
