Completed Fishermans Tale yesterday. Great premise, hindered by the pretty woeful tracking. 2/3 hours long. 7/10

Nah not really. Though I haven't tried the move update.

It's actually pretty amazing, if you ignore, you know, playing the game. I didn't realise they'd added move support, it did feel like it was missing that. This was pretty much spot on, I found: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2017/11/16/megaton-rainfall-review/

It was certainly worth a fiver for me, but do not go into this unless you've already found your VR legs.

I bought the Dirt Rally VR upgrade and fuck a duck itís brilliant. It feels like a genuine advantage to play in VR, judging corners and whatnot.

But, the headset position drift just kills it for me- does anyone else get it?
The flat menu/titles screens shift position left and right, even though I donít particularly feel I have, but much worse, during a stage the dash will just slowly drift off so that by the end Iím having to look over my left shoulder in order to look ďstraightĒ. Canít figure out whatís causing it. Equally infuriating- too many dips and falls and the vertical tracking goes off as well, it left me with my eyes sticking out of the roof earlier in Finland. Holding reset doesnít fix it, it just puts the view square yet still twisted and offset by however much it had drifted before.

Itís like the game canít reliably hold your head in a set position in the car whilst the body moves around due to the bumps. Waahh?

Never had that. Sounds like an issue with your setup to be honest. It's best to play in a fairly dark room. Anything reflective around you can cause issues as well, even stuff like a leather sofa can cause the lights to reflect and fuck with the tracking.

I get the left drift quite a bit. Moving further from the camera helps.

Iíve never yet had it with any other game.
Iím starting to suspect the clothes you wear on any particular day can fuck with things.

I recall some option that toggled between having your head locked in place, or independent of the car (and I'm still confused why anyone would want this). My game had defaulted to the one that made zero sense, if you get me.

Also, leave your headset stationary and in view of the camera while switching on, and try unplugging the VR passthru box for a minute before starting up (you aren't using rest mode... Right?)

Cheers buddy. Trying to remember to restart each time as I am using restmode. Will power it up flat on the sofa 👍

@mothercruncher I bought Dirt Rally VR but even after one stage Iíll be sweating and feeling nauseous. Itís odd because I can play GT sport in VR no problem.

Me too I think. Really tempted by Everybody's Golf too as the (pathetically stingy) demo still gave me an itch to play it properly.

It sounds fab. Has there been any indication of length (matron)?
£30 seems like a lot to drop on a VR game, but I guess itís actually about £15 if I buy a physical copy and trade it in the future so...

Has anyone bought any sweat pads for the psvr. Some of the games do make for a sweaty time and Iím worried about long term damage.

    @mothercruncher about 7-8 hours I think I read.

@kinky I will wait for the reviews on that but if it's good I will grab it.

As the old hands in this thread will know, I bought a PSVR day one and loved every minute of it, but I've sold it on so I'm not in here much any more. I missed out on Beat Saber as a result.

Just finally got around to playing the game on a different platform (but this isn't about that!) and I just came back here to be late to the party and say - WHAT A GAME.

Yeah it's one of the must play vr games.

Hopefully we have a couple more arriving on psvr soon

Anyone played Megaton Rainfall on psvr? Any good?
It's a great concept/tech demo. But the game that they then built around that is very poor. Worth picking up if it's really dirt cheap, if only for a go of flying around in VR.

Otherwise wait for Iron Man VR :)

So someone bought me everybody's golf for, I dunno, I think it was the anniversary of my first conscious and self aware thought. You humans seem to value this numeric representation of perceived worth.

Anyway, it's pretty good! I spent a while flapping at the ball and missing before realising the only way the game has of telling you you hit UNDER it is with the club head going red (same as for if you miss flapping somewhere above the ball); I'd prefer it behaved more like real life and either you took a huge divot or just air swiped, so I could more easily differentiate - but whevs.

It really could use some online tournament kinda thing, where you just play a round and post your score (one chance) - best score that month wins. You can have that one for free, Devs.

But for now, it's actually quite therapeutic just TWATTING balls on the driving range. (My phone autocorrects TWATTING like that, btw; no, I've no idea where it got that from).

That moment where you think "hmmmm, could do with a view of the roll of the green - where is the button for that, morons?" before realising you can, you know, actually get on the floor yourself...
