That's the issue with how times change development attitudes. This has been a long time coming, and from the looks of things, is a little dated in places. Still an exclusive!

Sounds like there's a good game there under the shitty controls. Hopefully they can patch in some Skyrim type controls.

It sounds like it was designed for use with that navigation controller thing that no-one owns as you can apparently use the dual-shock sticks to move in one hand and a single move in the other.

But yeah, at some point someone should have noticed better control schemes in other games and had a rethink about what they were doing.

Edit: having read the upload vr review you can't even use the navigation controller. Weird.

    VR nerds!

A friend has a standard peasant PS4 and PSVR. (I'm not even sure why I consider them a friend) and it's considering a steering wheel.

Are they shit out of luck on usb ports? Would a hub work?

A hub works but they'll only need the two on the front anyway.

There doesnít seem to be a specific VR sale about considering the kit is heavily discounted. Cheeky bastards.

Don't suppose anyone's on the lookout for a pair of Moves? I bought the twin pack a few months ago, took them out of the box and then put them in a drawer and never touched them. So they're basically new, and I still have the box.

@Ror How much are you looking for for them? I'm after a pair just to play Red Matter

@up_the_ante Was thinking around 45, given they're effectively brand new.

Really enjoying Golem. Kind of feels like a VR Team Ico game. Combat is great too. Stupid of the to release it pre patch as the controls are fine now and I think it would have reviewed a lot better.

@Nazo It was very strongly rumored at the early stages, it came to all the other VR headsets, even the mobile VR headsets like Gear VR!

But then Sony refused cross-play and that essentially stopped it happening. I'm now hopeful with Sony allowing cross-play we might finally see it.

PSVR has now achieved 5m sales, bloody impressive Iíd say.

Hopefully PSVR2 comes with some even more impressive tech.

That's good news, I really do hope they make PSVR2 as I'd love to see this way of gaming take off. Or I'd at least like to see decent image quality before it gets dropped if it does.

Yup, the wire isnít an issue at all, if anything it keeps you tethered a reasonable distance. The move controllers are worse than the vive controllers

Have you guys tried wireless VR? It is a next gen feature - aside from some simulators I think wireless is a must moving forward.

I've always considered pets as something for retirement. Just unnecessary hassle and chores at any other stage of life.

    @AaronTurner

I haven't tried wireless VR but can imagine how much of an improvement it'll be. Likewise some higher resolution display. Both are essential for PSVR2 IMO. As is a proper dedicated controller.
  • Deleted user 11 January 2020 12:37:18
For me wireless, inside out tracking and new controllers would be incredible for PS5. I actually think the screen isn't too bad, there is practically no screen door effect on it, but I'd imagine they will upgrade it.

I honestly don't mind the cables, though wireless would be lovely if that's an option. It's the controller that's the one thing I'd really like to change. Games where you can move around freely that use 2 Moves sort of work once you get used to them, but I'd really prefer joysticks.
