Moss is good, but I don't quite get the "best VR game ever" praise. It's very cute and charming, obviously, and a few of the "levels"/placed are really impressive, but the puzzles are a tad boring, and the combat can even get quite annoying.

Definitely worth picking up at some point, but waiting till it's cheaper isn't a bad idea. You're not missing the huge VR revolution or anything.

I've only played the demo of Moss but based on that I really don't get the hype. There are plenty of games that make better use of VR imo and that are generally more fun.

Mind, the game is better than the demo insofar as it is more coherent. The demo is a string of rooms that aren't connected like that in the real game..

But yes, it's not something significantly different, of course.

It may well be the best PSVR exclusive, it feels like a fully fleshed out experience, and it's actually good. It's not my favourite, but it is very well done imo.

Rez, Polybius, Super Hot, Batman are all better but don't feel like full games.

Not played SkyRim or Resi 7.

Shame about the Bravo Team scores, I was quite looking forward to that. Still might check it out at some point if I can get it for a bargain bin price.

@HarryPalmer How are Rez and Polybius not "full games"? They're two of the best games of all time, on any hardware.

I was really looking forward to Bravo Team, but even the positive review I read ring alarm bells for me. Specifically, this review (from someones blog, basically) went on at length about how great it was that it'd wrench you out of first-person view when you moved from cover to cover, but that's a massive no-no for me. Completely immersion shattering and it'd make me feel ill quite quickly. I do not "appreciate they did it like this". Heck, I even find videos of it happen on YouTube were a bit disorientating.

It's a real shame, but maybe they'll update it some day.

    @CalamityJames Debatable isn't it?

Rez is a port of a PS2 game that can be completed in under 2 hours. Polybius can be finished in about the same time. Both are my absolute favorite games on VR, but I can make a case for them not being full games, if you know what I mean.

In short, all I'm saying is I can see why some might think Moss is the best PSVR game.

Farpoint is in the current PS Store sale for only 12. Is it still good played with a pad rather than with the disabled toilet apparatus?

I played it with the toilet bar and found it rather meh, so I would imagine it would be even more so with the dualshock. Plenty seem to like it though so of course ymmv.

I really enjoy it, but I have to admit I'm not sure I'd recommend it with a controller. It's functional enough and I'd happily play it that way if it was the only option, but it does feel much better with the toilet controller.

I really like Farpoint, but I think it needs the Aim.

How do you define a full game though, play length surely has nothing to do with it. I've had many hours of enjoyment out of Rez and still return to it. Two hours of quality gameplay can be the best gaming you've ever had, even more so if there's replayability.

I haven't been on my VR so much recently, though I still love it. I made an extensible TV mount for my camera which allows me to raise up the camera to about 7 foot and tilt it down, rather than the 5 foot I had it at before. I was expecting it to improve tracking based on what others have said, but if anything it seems to have made it worse overall :-/ I might switch back to how it was.

Dont know if anyone is interested in using psvr with a pc but its now capable of mimicking the vive room scale in steam vr.

This is possible using a few homebrew applications - trinus vr (allows the psvr headset to work with steam) and "ps move service" which allows tracking of the headset and move controllers using 4 ps3 cameras (and an additional move strapped to the headset).

I haven't tried this yet but its pretty cost effective and seems to work really well :

Id pre-ordered Bravo Team so stuck with it and installed it last night.

Zero expectations after reading a few reviews.

Strangely enjoyed it, despite the obvious flaws.

Finished Farpoint a few nights ago and went back to get some of the trophies. It's a surprisingly tough game! I had some really high-quality gaming time trying to get the trophy for killing 100 aliens without dying. I found it quite difficult, and had to go out of my way to get it. On about the 3rd attempt, once I was up to 80 or so, it was a properly exciting white-knuckle experience!

I think it's pretty underrated. I just wish the Aim tracking was a tiny bit better. It's adequate, but I sometimes feel let down by the slight drift it sometimes experiences - and when it's good, it's GOOD.

I've still got to fire Farpoint up.

Talking of toilet controller games, what's Arizona Sunshine like? I've yet to fire that up too.

I really love it AZ. It's a bit one-note for the most part with the majority of the game looking pretty similar, but there a couple of visits to really different environments and a few decent set-pieces. The Toilet Controller mode is pretty decent too, as it switches all the weapons out for 2-handed ones.

Farpoint is still the one I tend to play more though. I've started playing that again and have been really enjoying the recent update that added a whole bunch of weapons to unlock. Visually they're basically re-skins, but functionally the ones I've unlocked so far really mix the gameplay up more than you'd think.

@DFawkes How much do you have to play to unlock them? My level doesn't seem to go up much...

I usually do it by playing levels in Challenge mode. Generally speaking, using both my equipped weapons equally will level them up once each, give or take a little, so it took me 5 map playthroughs to unlock a new weapon.

Ah okay, thanks. I haven't done much of challenge mode yet. It was really bothering me that I hadn't managed to get the "Kill 100 without dying" trophy, so I kept playing the first bit of the main story again until I got it. The fact that it took me ages probably points to me being a bit too rubbish for the challenges anyway ;)

    You'll be fine, I'm sure :)

I was actually playing it after my last post, and it seems you get diminishing returns after you unlock a weapon, so it'll take me about 10 rounds to get from level 5 to level 10 for the next weapon unlock. I get that it's there to give you something to work towards, but it feels a bit slower than I'd have liked. I really want the tier 3 Shotgun though so I'll keep at it for that.

Yeah it's a shame when you get that kind of logarithmic level-up that slows down more and more at the end. It feels a bit cheap, especially in a game like Farpoint where there's loads of depth there to keep you entertained anyway.
