I'm sure many of you are aware of the PS4 deal-frenzy as old units are being shifted to make way for new stock. Game on Thursday took on evidently a lot of Playstation 4 orders and despatch emails were sent out forming a contract as per their own T&Cs, of course that's not where it ended...

Fast forward to last night and emails were sent out suddenly stating that actually despite taking your money and confirming it had been despatched (and many having tracking numbers) that now they're unable to fulfil it, which sounds a bit fanciful as I'm pretty sure Game have plenty of other Playstation 4s they could use.

Their own terms and conditions are pictured on the tweet below, I'm happy to provide more info if anyone wants it.

They probably have an errors and omissions clause in there somewhere.

Why does anyone use Game in the first place and is anybody actually surprised.

Golden rules of being a gamer.

    *Never purchase anything from Game
*never pre order anything from Amazon if you want it on the day of release.

In the very next line after the one he highlighted it states if there's an error in stock levels they can cancel the order, send you an email and refund you.

I thought this may be the case, but their own T&Cs are pretty clear cut on the matter.

Some on HUKD have highlighted the "unless" part after the text I bolded as a "get out" it may look so at a glance but it's quite clear that this only applies if they've not honoured/contracted into the deal by confirming despatch.

Further information about placing and paying for an order is set out in Our Ordering and Payment help pages.

You may place an order to purchase a product advertised for sale on the Site by following the onscreen prompts after clicking on the item you are interested in. @MilkmanHero its probably an automated mail that triggers when they process the refund. They would need to rewrite the backend of the website otherwise, would you rather wait for that to be developed and tested before getting a refund.

Seriously you are getting on your high horse about something you have no understanding of.

Bung Wes, Bertie or Tom Phillips an email or tweet or something. Nothing like a good Game story for the front page.

Get Jeff Meatcalf on the case... He was born to write this story!
