Playing my second run on hard+ and being noticeably starved of ammo. I’ve had one pistol bullet for the last hour. Going to have to get used to using the bow for those stealth kills. |

Registered 4 years ago@Switch024 ooooh looks like someone is bad at head shots .
I'm currently pretty flush with long gun ammo, little bit starved on side arm ammo, two bombs, two Molotov's, one brick, two med kits, one smoke bomb.
Two be fair yeah I'm pretty good with the head shots but when I mess up badly I reload the checkpoint. -

Registered 6 years agoI can’t even blame my bad aim here, I’ve just not been getting any. Not sure how it works but I’m assuming there’s a randomness to it as I’m pretty stocked up on shotgun shells. -

Registered 7 months agoI find the aim lock actually makes it harder to get a headshot so I turned it off. It bounces your aim to their centre point which is no good .. if you have it turned on! -

Registered 7 years agoHaha yeah that seems to happen to me too. I clear out four or five infected/humans and that happens.
I’m up to day three now on the second half of the game. the hospital and the descent was ass clenching. Although i think I missed half the the descent has I accidentally fell of a ledge just where the shambler is but somehow survived. Guess there is a ledge I hadn’t seen yet where you can climb down.
Played around 21 hours now I think. Loving the game but I find each encounter quite stressful and engrossing always need a breather after an hour or so. Don’t know how so many of you have managed to complete it already! -

Registered 8 years agoCouple hours in and slow starting but that's due to story. Yes excellent graphics, took quite a few screen shots already but no option to take away the rather harsh film grain. Surprisingly my pro is pretty quiet so far, not like GOW or COD where the fan goes crazy. -

Registered 14 years ago@StaffyDog Yeah I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the fan has been. Having just come off finishing Spider-Man I was expecting the same again. Been playing 18 hours now and it’s not once been loud once. -

Registered 15 years agoCredits rolled. After the first ten hours I was ready to stick it in my top five of the generation, it was phenomenal. But now I honestly don’t know if I even like it! Need to sleep on it. -

Registered 18 years ago1.5 hours in and love it, yes it’s slow starting but I expected that and actually enjoyed mooching around the locations. The craft on show here is phenomenal, little details everywhere and have to give a special mention to the sound.. through my 5.1 system it’s stunning, will try headphones on my next session. -

Very interesting how we all play and enjoy our gaming differently. What you are doing here would offer me no payback at all and bore me to tears and yet I will spend hours on such and such other endeavour in a game., that most likely would do the same for you.

It does contain spoilers though. -

Registered 7 years agoI just finished this last night and I really enjoyed it. It had a bit of the Return of the King syndrome with too many epilogues but I thought it told a pretty decent story. People seem annoyed that it didn't tell the story that they wanted told but I liked the bleakness of it and if they ever make a third there are plenty of directions they could go in.
The combat is fantastic. -

Registered 10 years agoFinished last night, took me 40 hours and although I was taking my time and exploring I don't feel like I could have done it a huge amount faster. I was playing on Normal and didn't die a huge amount so I have no idea how some people have completed it in almost half my time. I did find just over 200 treasures though. I doubt I'll do NG+, at least for a while as whilst it was fun, I'm more there for the world and story so now it's done, it's over for me.
Think I'd give it a 9/10 overall, visually and mechanically excellent and I really enjoyed the story and especially the way it was presented. Unlike some I like the Naughty Dog trademark 'slower' sections, plus the dialogue between characters as you generally roam around was superb once again. All the characters felt real even if I didn't agree with some choices.
I preferred the first game overall as there were several aspects of this that grated and will discuss those in spoilers thread. -

Registered 16 years agoJust started playing it, oozes with quality straight from the off and has its hooks in me already. Slurp! -
I’m about 12 hours in, I really like it, I don’t mind at all that it plays similarly to the first, given that game’s quality and technically it’s off the charts, it’s great and I’ll no doubt play through a second time on a harder setting... but it’s just not quite as good as the first game.
