@SomaticSense Can't they just do a new soundtrack? Why would music licensing issues prevent them rereleasing the games? Unless each musician has rights to the actual code? I don't get it.
depends on the way the music was originally licensed but usually it's for a specific publication of a thing. you re-publish that thing on another format (for example) and the original license won't cover it.

Ror, is there a game which you don't need a special ed of? ;)
    :D

    I missed this.

I mean, it's literally the only Sony-owned franchise I ever really gave a fuck about, and it's basically dead. I need dat steelbook.

@dankcushions That's understandable for say, MvsC2 or Goldeneye. But a soundtrack for a game prohibiting a rerelease seems excessive.

@ChiefGB I might be if my PS4 continues to spit out discs. Then I'll be cursing my own idiocy for not buying digital.

It'd be even cooler if you could get the full colour ships and could swap them over.

If they put these on sale they'd be really popular, even if you're not bothered about the game it's still a stunning gadget.

The music in this isn't bad but it doesn't have a killer new tune (in fairness I am a little out of touch these days).

We need a new wipeout though as I'd rather like some new courses now please. Wasn't a fan of the vita ones structure and their focus on too many time trials and the like.

Yep - I'm usually about ten years behind when it comes to my knowledge of gadgets/technology - but I honestly thought the video was take when first watching it. Shirley if this is possible then why stop there - give us ships that are actually to scale!

@IronGiant Agreed, it's bloody cool. Really hope that turns out to be an actual edition of the game and not just a press kit or something.

Where have you found details on the soundtrack?

I'm pretty sure you can make a pretty decent soundtrack to this yourself now you can have custom soundtracks. I think that's what I did with HD on the PS3, come to think of it.

@ChiefGB For me, time trialling is the "one true WipEout"! If it was up to me there would be no weapons in the game at all. Luckily for everyone else it is not up to me I guess! :-)

TT is my natural environment too, but it wouldn't feel right if I couldn't send a quake rolling down the track in the races too ;)

I remember considering buying one of those floaty disc things. From the videos I watched they're a right pain to set up, even with the plastic guides you remove, but once you get the knack for it they're fine. They were about £50 last time I looked at them. You could always buy one of those and see about getting a 3D printed ship or something, if you really fancied a floaty ship car thing.

Completely agree. do we know, based on the games it is a remaster of, if this is proper TT, i.e. one timed lap and you can just keep going round and round ad infinitum? TT modes have been killing me lately that are 3 set laps then start over.

That's a shame. I agree with ModoX that infinite laps is preferable. "Just one more try..."
