    Ohhh fuck off Bay.
There is never, ever, any need to have a Transformers movie run over 2hrs. Especially when that excess runtime is filled with "jokes" about robots pissing, shitting or puking, or swinging their gigantic robotic bollocks around.

Yet. I'll be there opening night, 'cuz I'm a cunt like that.

The 3rd is actually decent, though a little long. 2 and 4 are shite.

Yeah it goes 1,3.......................4 then 2.

The only effort they put into 4 was to explain why a guy can bang the under age daughter

But.... the destruction of chicago is just so bewilderingly long... the giant worm thing is like an incredibly shitty nemesis from RE2 and just wont fuck off.

And the rest of it is just a giant flapping arsehole.

First film was such an abomination that I promised never to watch another again (and I haven't).

The thought of handing over over 3 hours of my precious time to this overblown, unoriginal bollocks is just laughable.

Wasn't the third Transformers film so sloppily put together that backgrounds from Chicago ended up appearing in Hong Kong?

That's the 4th which 'jumps' to China for no reason other than appeal to that audience

No, he means that while they are in Hong Kong, chicago *constantly* crops up in the background. You can even see the sears tower in one of the last shots.

I'd watch 3 hours of Bay being water boarded.

Yeah that's 4 isn't it? They head to China for no reason or something but it's still clearly been shot in the US

Edit. Yep in fact this will remind people just how bad and lazy the film was

Bay says it's not true and intact shorter than the last 3 movies

    https://twitter.com/michaelbay/status/870156696731168768

But is that shorter than them combined?

I think the only way I'd watch The Last Knight is if somebody paid me at least 100. Anything less than that it's not going to be worth my time.

I'll watch it just to see how badly wrong he gets Unicron.

Enjoyed the first when it first came out.
Turned the 2nd off near the end.
Can't remember anything about the 3rd.
    Didn't bother with the 4th.
    Repeat from there.

I've got the 20th Anniversary steelbook of the 1986 film, that'll do for me.

I didn't mind the first one at the time. I've watched bits of the other ones but have to turn them off after 10 minutes. They're just noise and colours. I've tried to watch both of the turtles films as well and lasted about 20 minutes. It's just noise.

Nah, it won't bomb, as they've all been hugely successful, irrespective of the actual quality on screen. Same with Pirates of the Caribbean. There's some gold painted shit out there that can seemingly be mined forever.

Edit: In fact, I'm willing to bet my mortgage that this makes more money than Wonder Woman.

Unfortunately I imagine it will do well. Some people seem to eager to defend this dross, usually uttering something like "Well what do you expect from a film about giant transforming robots?" As if that's an excuse for terrible writing, unlikeable characters and set pieces that devolve into indecipherable chaos.

if just one of those elements was good they might even be watchable, but failing on all three is hard to excuse.

Anybody saying you can't have a great film with giant robots has obviously never seen Robot Jox.

I found the writing in Dark of the Moon to almost be acceptable. There's a quote for the DVD cover.

It's not that writer that's back though, it's the guys who wrote Iron Man and Punisher: War Zone, so it might actually be fine. Maybe.

    Those first two bullet points.

There's absolutely no way on Earth that Bay isn't trolling. No way.
