Watched it at the weekend (it's Ruffalo, rather than Marky). It's pretty mundane as a movie TBH, is packed full of loads of legal thriller clichés (the star working late nights through boxes of paperwork, the strain the case puts on his marriage, shady characters in dark car parks, evidence appearing to turn the tide against all the odds, etc.) and doesn't add much over and above the drama of the case itself. If anything it feels incomplete - the book it's based on is from 2007, and the epilogue text makes it clear there was plenty more that happened afterwards. Decent enough 6/10 movie.

Ah yes. Of course it's Ruffalo. Such a spanner.

Justified appeared on my Prime last night.
Watched the first episode because of the buzz on here....and, yep, very good!

I love Justified - the perfect role for Oliphant.

My missus says I have to recommend the Boulet Brothers' Dragula.

Basically Drag Race but with goth drag queens and mucho filth.

It's a decent enough political drama with the obvious disillusionment shenanigans.

It's a bit like The Candidate, but nowhere near as good or sardonic.

I've been watching it in the background while working from home. Its harmless enough. Just a villain of the week cop show really. Olyphant is good in the role though. On the second season and it seems to have a bit more of an arc to it so far.

    Good to hear!
The first episode reminded me of Banshee slighty, which is not a bad thing.

I started watching The Hunt last night without any prior knowledge of what it's about.

Fucking hell. Don't watch it if you work with children.

It does improve as the series go on too.

:D The Mads version, not the Betty Gilpin one?

Yes - getting the two mixed up would ruin movie night!

I'm going to try Justified, given the love on here. As it's a few years old, I will assume all the Justified and Oliphant jokes have already been done.

So a bit of Anime this time. Being balls deep in to Valhalla has put me in a viking mood and there is an anime called Vinland Saga. It isn't a wacky anime beyond the extraordinary fighting.

It really is the best show about typesetting I've seen. Especially season 2, acclaimed character actress Margo Martindale really deserved her Emmy.

Amazon have confirmed that they've snapped up Coming 2 America off of Paramount, for home release in March.

Not exactly sensational news now for a film to be skipping the cinema, but still...

Acclaimed character actress Margo Martindale is always welcome, and if in Justified represents something of a coincidence as the last program I watched (and utterly loved) based on EG recommendations was Bojack Horseman :)

It's still pretty great even without acclaimed character actress Margo Martindale. You get generous helpings of other respected character actor Walton Goggins, for example, and plenty of other great performances. And a bunch of just really snappy dialogue to boot.

    Yeah, Justified is great.

There's a great episode later on in season two where he drives an ice cream van.

I was going to watch Utopia (2020) but saw it had a terrible rating, so instead I'm rewatching Utopia (2013). Totally hooked again, incredible series and Neil Maskell is superbly creepy.

Despite enjoying it back then, I've since forgotten most of the plot, but I do remember it ending on a bit of a cliffhanger when it got cancelled after 2 seasons. So, viewer beware I guess.

Ooh - new episodes of Vikings up. While the recent series haven't been as good as the early ones - I'm still enjoying it.

I really need to pull my finger out and carry on with Vikings. 20 episode seasons are far too long, even if they seem to be two sets of 10 episodes (the jump in the middle of season 4 was a bit jarring!)

I've tried to maintain my interest in Vikings, but the show just hasn't been the same (post S4 spoilers) since Ragnar died. I don't think the new(ish) actors on the show are nearly as good.

That was the point that I lost interest too.
