Right - so finally have got 999 moons, and all moons and coins on every level. Some of the final few moons are a real challenge.

What an amazing game. Has to be one of favourite of all time no question.

New Donk City is my favourite level.

Worst ones for me are Luncheon Kingdom and Lost Kingdom. Way too small.

Biggest disappointment is the Lost Kingdom. Should have had more in it.

Best music is in the Wooded Kingdom.

You would be hard pressed to criticise the size of the game though. It is absolutely huge with amazing levels of content.

The volleyball moon is hateful without the 2 player trick being used. Once I did that, got it first time.

Absolutely. I was just disappointed those levels weren't bigger

The entire game is a full on masterpiece by my reckoning. No clue how they will top it.

Is it too easy to get 999 ? I think they nailed it for both the casuals and kids, as well as the more dedicated. Those last levels on darker moon along with that final journeys end need a lot of skill and patience.

Definitely not easy to get the full stars. I did like the nice touch after getting all the stars.

Mario is always going to be middling on difficulty. Galaxy is about as difficult as it got. Its all about the Donkey Kong games if you want a challenge!

Love that game. I'm very tempted to double dip on Switch, but I still have it on Wii U. 100% complete! :D

    Returns was great, too.

    Posted this in wrong thread.

I'm pissed off with Mario Moon kingdom, having to go back and do all the f'ing rock smashy runs everytime you die fighting the bloody bunny with the chain thingy. Not enough bloody check points on the level in general.

I'd recommend giving it a break if you're losing patience. After finally getting that moon, I did it a second time, immediately after, just to see if there was another reward (I was just being an idiot).

Havenít played in a while- going to hoover up some collectibles given the snow. Is there a way to check how many moons/purples youíve got per level?

IIRC you press the "-" button to bring up the map, and then press Y (might be X) and it will show a list of all moons and amount of purple coins for each level.

Completed the story run yesterday and now in the Mushroom Kingdom to start my sweep of all the moons in the game.

It's an incredible game, definitely in my top 3 of all time with OoT and MP.

I've watched a few speed runs on YouTube, the skill level of these people is amazing. It's a speed runner's dream given the tricks you can do with Cappy plus the fact that Nintendo seem to be patching glitches which means the top speed runs are based on skill alone. Some of the routes and moons in the game make me think they catered for this section of gamers given how popular SM64 and SMS are in the speed running community.

The problem I had with NDC is that Nintendo excel at making amazing worlds which are full of creativity and are so much fun to explore, and they limited their licence to do this with NDC. By Nintendo's standards it is uncolourful and boring.
