@Rusty_M how generous is the space in the top pouch? Basically was wondering if you could squeeze the Joy-Con grip in there without worrying about it applying pressure to the Switch below. Out of stock in my local Game so been unable to check.
Joy-con grip fits comfortably with room to spare.

Has anyone seen any cases the sort of size that whilst not being massive could manage to hold a switch, vita, 3ds and a few games?

Just a heads up for anyone still looking for a case, CoolShop currently has the deluxe traveller cases scheduled to be released on 17/03. This is earlier than I've seen anywhere else - previously I had a pre-order with Shopto for release on 31/03.

    https://www.coolshop.co.uk/product/nintendo-switch-deluxe-travel-case-zelda-grey/AG6UX2?ic=user_histories-AG6UX2

    https://www.coolshop.co.uk/product/nintendo-switch-deluxe-travel-case-black/AD43FY?ic=user_histories-AD43FY

Also, they have a pretty cheap price for the 'deluxe' travel case which is intended to hold the dock, cables, an extra controller as well as the system and some games.

    https://www.coolshop.co.uk/product/nintendo-switch-game-traveler-deluxe-system-travel-case/AG54EX?ic=similar-AG54EX

23.95 which I'm sure is cheaper than elsewhere. ShopTo has it at 31.85.

@Zero_g you were misinformed. I saw 4 of them in my local game shop. They are all preordered though so couldn't have one. Guy said he could order one for delivery to my house in 3 days. It was nice looking, but the extras looked a bit like tat. I'd have still got it had it been in store though, even at 30.

I got the official Nintendo one from tesco direct for 16.99 instead. Nothing special for that money (canvas case with hard sides), but it had a relatively easy to apply screen protector and some how or other it can be used as a stand and can cary a few games and two grips.

I've ordered this one with Shopto. I think it's the best looking case on the market. Never heard of Coolshop, but will add it on my favourites list for future buying.

So I finally got the Orzly screen protector above. Installed it in a few seconds without producing any bubbles. It's seems to be good, the touch screen is usable with it on and I haven't had any problems. It comes with 2x screens, a cleaning cloth, alcohol wipe, dust stickers and a plastic bubble remover.

Would this be ok for charging up the Switch while away from home, or would you say the official, more expensive one would be better. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mains-Charger-Indicator-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B06VXSDWZG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490095954&sr=8-1&keywords=Nintendo+Switch+mains+charger
Just not to sure with these none official stuff. Wouldn't want it to mess up my Switch by over charging it.

Anyone have trouble getting the Orzly screen protectors? Ordered them on the 13th and they shipped last Monday. Still not got them.

@Pazie only 1 amp output, so likely to charge slowly..

I have a 4 port USB charger that outputs 2.4A (it looks a bit like this but cheaper ones are available.

I paired it up with a long (3m!) USB A-C lead and it lets me charge and play at the same time should I get the dreaded "battery low" message.

@Rusty_M I messaged them last Wednesday and they said there'd been a mess up with the Royal Mail and a whole shipment had been lost. They then told me they'd be sending another one out to me for delivery yesterday. Still not got it.

Mine took ages to appear and was 2 days later than stated. Good product though, never bother with screen protectors normally but as the Switch screen is plastic....

@Rusty_M mine took a week to arrive, seemed forever when you're used to Amazon next day. Got a generic neoprene hard case for about 10, going to see very occasional use, seems fine for that.

Bloody hell. I can't believe that you don't get a grip when you buy extra joycons.

Why would you? It'd just push the price up further for something a lot of people don't even want. They're already a bit on the pricey side, no need to make it worse when Joy Cons on their own are comfy enough anyway :) Heck, I was vaguely surprised they bothered giving you the straps with them.

    Why would you?
Because it's result in Nintendo customers that don't feel scalped, that's why.
Cannot believe the JoyCon grip with the charging port wasn't the default pack in for the Switch, cheap fuckers.

I just tested The Wii U ethernet adaptor against this USB 3.0 one

    Wii U : =~50Mbps down
    Startech : =~100Mbps down

Down speed varied, between 2 and 20Mbps on Wii U and 20-30Mbps on the Startech adapter.
    Seems like the way forward.

How does that work? You use one of the USB ports on the dock and the Switch does USB to Ethernet jiggery pokery?

Just would like to mention that the Pro controllers battery life is ridiculously good. Charged it once at the start and once during the middle and finished Zelda yesterday with over 70 hours playtime and still haven't had a "battery running low" indicator pop up on this secondition charge. Played for up to 5 hours with the joy-cons just to test them so I'd say the pro controller easily gets over 30 hours of play time per charge.

I don't see this as a big deal, myself. You can charge the Joy Con at the same time as the console, no issue. The fact they last 20 hours means you could charge the console 6 times over (playing Zelda) before needing to charge the Joy Con. For sure it would be even more convenient to have the Grip charge them as well (so you can charge them whilst playing on the TV, but it's hardly a necessity.

The Charge Grip is only really beneficial when you've got two sets of Joy Con on the go (and in such circumstances you're likely to keep your original Joy Con connected to the Switch unit).

I wouldn't call Nintendo cheap fuckers in regards to the Switch bundle either, considering they've gone to enough length to technically sell two controllers with the console. Not all games support a single Joy Con, but many do/will and that's great value in that respect.

"Gone to enough lengths to sell two controllers with the Switch"- that's pure Nintendo Stockholm Syndrome. They were generous enough to put it in a fucking box and not sell that as an extra too, actually, I'm starting to see the value.

@neptunium Would this one be better to charge up the Switch https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N523NP1/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3SDP7R0Q4OS09

@mothercruncher All I'm saying is there's more value in the Joy Con than just a typical controller. I didn't have to invest in any extra controllers to be able to play multiplayer. Normally that's an additional 30 - 50 quid for the privilege.

Also, I do think the fuss over a lack of charge grip is a bit OTT. I'd take charging them at the same time as the console over a 3 hour battery life in a controller which i'd have to buy a longer USB cable just to charge and play.

Well, it is slightly gimped multiplayer, with the tiny and limited number of buttons, but, fair point.

I don't own- and don't plan to own- a Pro Controller. And 90% of my gaming is via the TV. Yes, JoyCon battery life is great, but, at the moment, I'm needing to unslot them from the grip and slide them back into the Switch each night to ensure everything is charged. I'm trying to minimise this given the build quality doesn't feel great and they're both already slightly loose.
Including the charging grip, which is literally a USB female plug and 4 pence worth of wire and resistors, would have been an optimal choice, but, no, I need to pay a further 25 to get access to that 4p worth of circuitry. It's utterly miserly.
