I don’t really see it as different from any other game.
Is it worth getting the Pro controller with this, or does it work nicely with the joy cons do we think?
The Pro controller is great. It’s extremely comfortable, never disconnects and has an amazing battery life. It’s my favourite controller in a while and for me worth investing in sooner rather than later, as the sooner you get it, the more games you’ll enjoy playing with it. But it’s a luxury if you have no issue with the joy cons, so it’s really your call. -

Registered 15 years agoYeah most people with the motion controls just use it for fine tuning. I'm using +2 sensitivity on both motion and sticks. -
@You-can-call-me-kal The boy has some birthday money which he really wants to spend on Splatoon. I've got £50 GAME credit. I think getting rid of GAME credit sooner rather than later is probably a good enough reason to get a pro controller. -

Hah. Good to see you back. Just got malleted by someone with an aerospray NG. Thought of you.
Me and Thingy are in a game together if anyone fancies it. Get 4 we can make a team.
And that's three with Joel.

Registered 7 years agoIt's a shame it's so expensive but yeah, Pro Controller is my prefered way to play, I've not used the grip since. The motion controls are just as good as the joycons too. -

This, I use the Pro Controller 99% of the time but all depends on your joycon love

Is it easy to group up? I'd read that you can't choose to be on the same team? -

You can just pick team mode and invite friends.
Aerospray MG still an absolute monster. -

Registered 18 years agoI bought this on the South African store this morning for £39. It really is as simple as going to mynintendo.com, changing the region to SA in the relevant profile section, then going to the eshop on the Switch.
I vowed not to buy any more games until Mario vs Rabbids but relented. -

Registered 16 years agoHonestly i wouldnt worry, you can play this all you like and then trade it for £30-35 when Rabbids comes out.

Dipping in and out of Splatoon conveniently will scratch the vague MP itch I've had since kind of stopping playing Rainbow Six Siege. -

Registered 5 years ago@Thingy But I'm stuck in the past when it comes to retail releases. I like huge shelves of alphabetised games organised by platform. I've only got 2 Switch games physically so far!

In the main online mode - Turf mode, it just requires joining a game your friend is playing in. You may not end up on the same side, but it's still fun making others lives a misery or theres yours.

Actually it is mainly Thingy making our lives hell in whatever online game we end up playing.
Not sure how easy it is in other modes but i think for example i could make a game and send out an invite and posts the invite on here and you be able to join. -

Registered 14 years agoSo looking at it it looks like Salmon Run (the horde mode) is open all day. It's not going to be a rotation thing, looks like it will be available most of the time. -
It feels nice, but not as nice as an Xbox Elite pad. Looking forward to trying it with Zelda later.
