So Cameron may or may not have serious involvement, Miller hasn't been offered anything and still might not be interested and they haven't worked out a basic plot or even a lead writer?

    I'm excited.

Skimmed past this, and thought it said 'Terminator 6 from James Milner'.

Terminator 2 is getting a 3D release this year, which Cameron personally oversaw. "Using the very best and latest in 3D technology". Or something.

Basically done for the China market but it'll be a huge hit worldwide. Again.

Just the possibility of Cameron's involvement just made me jizz in my pants a little.

    @Hairy-Gorilla

After Kyle goes terminator John was sent back to 2014. The paradox of time travel :)

It's best not to think about the the plot holes in Terminator. Basically Judgement Day and Skynet will happen (Arnie says this in 3). Even if John Connor is not conceived now we have a version of him in the timelime and that version created Skynet/Genysis and time travel, it's a loop. To blow your mind, how it stands you can't get Terminater 1 without Genysis and Terminator John creating the the time travel tech for the AI he also invented to go back and kill him before he makes it. Great Scott!

Isn't Cameron too busy these days announcing new Avatar sequels?

This will never happen. And given the last bunch of movies, maybe it's time to just leave it.

It will happen at some point, it's just too much of a valuable IP with too many of those sweeeeet, ripe member berries waiting to be plucked. Irresistible.

The studio will see guaranteed $$$$$$ with Cameron back attached.

I wish it wasn't true, but that's the machine now, innit.

It needs completely rebooting. None of this soft reboot crap. The story is literally incomprehensible at this point.

Wipe it clean, do a new trilogy with a new spin on it, get a few of the actors back for cameos if you must rape it's exoskeleton again.

Just stop with the sequels and timelines. Stop. It's horrible at this point. Terminator Sega Genesis was fucking awful.

Is it really a valuable IP anymore? The last couple of films haven't exactly been megahits.

And Cameron barely makes films anymore. I just can't see him spending much time on this when he's pretty much given up everything but writing Avatar scripts.

To be fair I quite enjoyed it, but it is objectively pretty shit. I've got zero drive to ever watch it again, either.

I read some of the plans for the sequels to Genysis and they were kind of interesting, running and fighting across parallel earths and alternate realities etc. Would've went nice with some popcorn. Alas we'll have another attempt at rebooting a trilogy instead; which will also be just as shit and yet again get canned before any of the plot seeds, they occupied half the film setting up, germinate. Cunt.

The best thing they can do in the Terminator cannon now is just let the fucking nukes fall. What a trash pile.

I would rather he concentrated on remastered bluray editions of True Lies and The Abyss than fanny about with Terminator.
