Yeah, better than the last trailer anyway. We'll see. With Terminator I always hope for the best, but expect the worst.

I'm starting to get quite hopeful about this.

I'm feeling positive because James Cameron's involved this time. he's not directing but he used to producer and he has done the writing.

That R rated trailer was very, very good. Everyone who's seen footage of it at various events such as Cinecon were raving about what they saw.

I've got from utter meh to being very hopeful.

Edit: Also looks as though Arnie has a much bigger role than I first thought.

I don't see anything that should convince me this will be better than what we've got so far, but some optimism can't hurt, I guess.

The same guy that made Avatar. I will remain sceptical thanks.

I'm on the official hype train. With James Cameron back and being the real sequel to terminator 2 I'm pumped.

True but he did make the first two terminator movies and the sequel to Alien. Three of my favourite films of all time

    Ridley Scott made Alien.

    Then he made Prometheus.

    Then Covenant.

    And before that GI Jane.

The trailer looks good though, let's go with that

But Ripley Scott was always overrated. Alien was his best movie blade runner was a complete flop in sales terms.

Now compare that to James Cameron.

Whoa there sonny. You're mixing up critical reception with box office sales.

And Blade Runner has long since made profit. And inspired countless auteurs. Kojima for a start.

Cameron hasn't made a film in a decade.

Aliens, and the Terminators are fantastic. But Terminator 2 was 1992. I wasn't even in senior school then.

Moot point anyway, he isn't going to be the reason the film is a failure or success. He rewrote some screenplay apparently. It will be Miller's vision no doubt

Something tells me Cameron wasn't all that involved anyway.

The actual director is Tim Miller, but I'm afraid I've never watched any of his movies. Heard good things about Deadpool, but it's not exactly the same kind of movie.

    Violent, comic book and quippy.

    Totally in his comfort zone.

He made a few notes on the script over "concerns" Linda Hamilton had about her character and also answered a few questions Arnie had. That's about it. But he probably had a lot to do with getting the backing and finance that the film needed to get made.

Cameron produced Alita: Battle Angel which is a film I enjoyed immensely. His involvement on this was minimal.

I'm confliced on the new trailer. Looks really promising and now uses the original music.

Does confirm the early screening that they weren't using the original music and the new scenes were also mentioned in the peaks.

Remember James Cameron now owns rights to the terminator. 2019 terminator franchise went back into James Cameron hands after he sold them to make the first movie in 1984 so he could direct it.

He had a lot more involvement over the script. Linda Hamilton said she wouldn't have come back without James Cameron involvement. That's why she didn't come back for terminator 3 salvation or genesis.

Guys I just spoke to Jim on the phone (we’re on first name basis) and he said he was there every single day and not only helped with the catering but also inserted his hand into Ed Furlong to control him like a puppet when he was in a sugar coma from his eleventh Mountain Dew.

He also said to call you all fuckheads

The new trailer looks like fun - hopefully it'll be a decent watch. I did like Arnie's look when Sarah said she'd kill him :-)

I just got back from a seance and Jim Henson would like you to stop invoking his spirit for the sake of humour.

He doesn't like humour, not since his without now.

Then you can't use Avatar as a poor example. It was received well (look at any metascores and it's up there) and it made all the money until Avengers.

i'm still amazed that Avatar got as good reviews as it did, people really must have been impressed by the 3D because the movie itself was pants.
