Iím in the 1% that doesnít seem to get this game ! Played 25 hours and itís just too much of a chore. Everything seems difficult for the sake of it. Whatís he point of having to equip certain clothes for the desert etc

I know Iím in the minority here though

I ended up doing them in this order:

    Zora
    Rito
    Gerudo
    Goron

Although I'd basically completed about three quarters of what I needed to do to open the third one, so after finishing the second I smashed that one the same weekend.

I love in these kind of games when I open up the final part, but then spend ages clearing up whatever side stuff I want in between. After taking down the fourth beast last night I spent the next three hours climbing two more towers (still have three to go!), finding the research lab in the top right of the map, finding more "memories" and of course completing a shit load more shrines. Really need to start taking the time to find more Korok seeds, this far into the game and only have seven...

Still so much to do before the final part that I can see me still playing this in two weeks :D

I did the Zora one third! Van Ruta second and the desert one fourth! Can't even remember what the first one is I did it that long ago!!

    Rito! That's was the one

I think the general consensus (and certainly from my experience) is that the desert one is the hardest. There's also another good reason for leaving that one until last...

    I went

    Elephant
    Bird
    Lizard
    Camel

I don't recall struggling with the final one, but probably because I had the rewards from the previous 3 beasts

This will mean fuck all to 99% of people in this thread, you nerd. I don't understand why you'd even bother to spoiler it?

edit: that sounds more aggressive than I meant it but the point stands.

I think it;s quite interesting how people differ in their approach to the DBs, especially when some are criss-crossing the map in doing it.

The game softly pushes you Zora through the narrative, I think, but the rest is open.

They all have their benefits but the reward for beating the bird is probably the most useful in the early game i think and probably my most used overall. Really makes a lot of areas more accessible when your stamina is on the low side

The others are great to have but tend to be more helpful when you get careless

I did intend to do Zora first but I snapped my bows pissing about and then ran out of shock arrows by the time I went looking for more I got side tracked exploring and ended up doing 2 others first, the only reason I'm doing the desert section one last is that I couldn't get past the stealth part looking for the Thunderhelm.

Once I've completed the fourth beast is it on to Ganon then that's it?

There are also a bunch of side quests, armour to find/upgrade, shrines to improve health + stamina, a certain weapon to locate if you haven't already done so...

Yep that's my plan - find that weapon, get all the memories and then complete as many shrines as possible to upgrade health and stamina to a level I think is suitable.

Oh and yes, find more than fucking seven korok seeds in 50 hours of play. Have no idea how I have so few...

Pick up more random (and not so random) rocks. Also look out for little pinwheels and weird stone structures made out of metal looking cubes...

What's the other good reason? The Yiga(?) hideout thing? Can't remember when that happens.

Go to literally every summit you see. I must have found 50% of my seeds at the top of hills etc.

Yep. Once you complete the Divine Beast, it triggers those annoying random Yiga attacks all over the map.

Edit: actually, that happens when you clear out the Yiga Hideout, so before you complete the beast.

I took a rest from this game in the summer to play some other stuff, and now I'm scared to go back. I think I've forgotten all the buttons!

I do need to complete it though.

I was away from it for about 6 weeks around Mario. Was a bit rusty but just head to the starting zones and it soon comes back to you

Think I may have to abandon facing Thunderblight Ganon until I can source out some extra weapons. Got a head like a conker!

I really enjoyed finding Korok seeds. Its a shame some folk here haven't bothered with them. It was genuinely rewarding when you noticed something out of place and went to investigate. They make for nice rewards for your curiosity and mean you can carry a fudge-ton of gear later in the game.

I went mental with them in the end and found around 650. I did go out of my way to find a lot of them, but it was hardly a tracing experience. It certainly wasn't a chore.

    @DangerousDave_87

Totally agree. I love exploring and the Korok seeds are located in places I naturally move towards. It feels natural because the design is so careful.
