Just be careful in the secret room that opens up after you've done the shrine. Creepy as fuck that room.

And make sure to set fire to any brambles you see in the maze.

There are only three labyrinths in the world. I wasn't a huge fan of them tbh, got kinda tedious running around in circles trying to find the shrine.

Its weird isn't it - when that maze music kicks in, I just do the right-hand-wall method and I get transfixed by it all - they're some of the best bits for me. Such a great game that different people get so many different things out of it. Pity you don't like the labyrinths but I bet there's other stuff you get into more than me.

I've put 350 hours into it across two playthroughs so yeah, there are plenty of other things I liked about it. :)

Still need to finish my Master Mode playthrough - just four shrines and the final DLC beast to do. After that, at some stage I'll try a no shrine, straight to Ganon run.

I didn't bother wandering around the mazes. Just climb up to the top and jump over the walls.

I bet that was pretty surreal as well

I also climbed onto the roofs of the labyrinths.

I tried this too, but the actual exits are cleverly hidden so it was still tricky to find them!

I had pretty much a full stamina bar so of course the first thing I did was climb the walls.

    That music tho, SWOON

Yeah it's epic music. Same as the forest iirc

On a related note, people that complain about the music (or lack of) are idiots. The soundtrack is masterful.

SWOON! Christmas is time for playthrough number 4.

God, the amount of times my past stoned self turned to my barely interested ex about how this was indeed a GOAT contender..... no wonder she ditched my ass.

    Zelda will never leave me

I did one labyrinth legit then cheesed the others.

I’m considering another play through now. Such a ridiculously good game.

Yeah, I've been playing again for the last day or so, and even the simple things like picking things up quickly without having to faff is a great touch. Everything just flows so well. Its gorgeous to play again.

I got rage with it when I got to the spinny robot with the slicey sword of death and laser beams in a dungeon or something which ramped the difficulty up to You Fuckin Wot Mate

Yeah, you need to not obsess that you have to get through everything the minute you encounter it. These become laughably easy once you have better equipment, just come back later.

Today I tried to go back and finish this off. I left it over a year ago in the final push up to last battle. I got my bearings and started walking and then got locked in a gated room with a silver Lionel.

He just kills me instantly over and over. I'm loaded with gear but I can't fucking remember how to do anything.

    Turned it off :-(

You do not need to go into the room containing the Lionel.

You can also cheese 90% of Hyrule Castle with Rivali’s Gale and not even fight the Lionels.

My careful strategy for Lionels consists of gliding over them, drawing my bow to shoot them 12 times in the face in slo-mo, landing and whirlwinding with a two-handed weapon to finish them off.

This is the reason I have no real idea of the layout. Also the reason why I only stumbled on that one item the once.

@Mola_Ram That one in the Coliseum is a bit of a cunt iirc.

Man I need to buy this for Xmas. I think I'm going to catch up with my Destiny playtime at this rate

Amazes me what some people get up to on this game. I've tapped out at 100 shrines and Gannon beaten twice

This game really is amazing, the sense of discovery is the best I've ever seen in a game.

I haven't even bothered with the main quest yet, I've just been exploring looking for what's out there mopping up the shrines on my way.

The weapons breaking is such a shit mechanic though.

I think they should probably break a little more slowly, but generally I don't mind the mechanic. It makes combat more frantic and interesting to me.

Or at least let you repair them in a cool way, like making your own forge or something. But then constantly breaking really is just a bit shit in an otherwise great game.
