Registered 18 years agoLoved it. Ended brilliantly. Stevens (he's so hot right now) ands Plaza were amazing throughout. Truly original even if you are familiar with the comic origins. -

Registered 18 years agoI felt a little let down by the last episode. The previous episode was brilliant this felt like they took the foot off the gas to sell season 2.
All in all though I want more, it's very good and I am looking for forward to lot more Oliver/Farouk in S2. -

Registered 14 years agoI binged this in a couple of days and have to say it's the best series I have watched for a long time. Some of the best direction I have ever seen and the visuals compliment the show perfectly. I haven't read the comics so I have no comparison to them, as a stand alone series, it is fucking top.
If there is anyone else late to the party as I was, give it a watch. -

Registered 12 years agoHeads up. First episode of season two aired on Tuesday. I watched it last night - Noah Hawley has amped up the crazy, hallucinatory atmosphere to eleven, it was a bloody awesome episode.
Great that it seems to be becoming a Legion tradition to have a dance number in the first episode.
Probably the most rewatchable episode so far, really looking forward to the rest. -

Registered 9 years agoI, uh... hmm. I really liked the first episode stylistically, but I think the show's in danger of disappearing up its own arse.
I love a bit of weirdness, don't get me wrong, but this is show-offey in a kind of distracting way, and the story is losing me.
I'll keep watching, of course, but I don't want the show to completely lose touch with planet Earth. This isn't Twin Peaks. -

Registered 14 years agoWhilst the dancing styles were a tad weird in that first ep, it was intriguing to see the different ways each character interacted with their accompanying dance troupe.
Each of David's dancers was performing a different routine, with David either matching, or over-riding, it as he switched contact back and forth with each dancer; this played into David's ability to absorb or influence people's personas with his Legion ability.
Farouk's dancers all mirrored/reinforced his own dance routine; this played into Farouk's ability to dominate other people entirely as the Shadow King.
Lenny, meanwhile, was performing a completely choreographed dance that involved every one of her dancers and herself. With Lenny being dead and what we're seeing is, essentially, an amalgam of memory and disguise, it's hard to know if it simply demonstrates an ability to blend in or if there might be something of more significance that we will later discover. -
Binged S1 this weekend, couldn't help myself. Incredible show but without wanting to invite spoilers, I wonder where S2 can go now Shadow King is out of David's head? The entire first season was a play on his perspective and memory, so is S2 compelled to become more traditional now he doesn't have a parasite in his head?
Gonna be a long few weeks till it's available to watch in full. -

Mola, I loved the first episode, but the second dipped in quality a little for me. -

Registered 9 years agoThe second episode of S2 was less weird and not as flashy, but it was necessary (for me) to understand where the season is going. -
@BinaryBob101 I actually missed it first time, just caught it earlier today.
Interesting wrinkle, seems to be Division going back on their word to work together? -

Registered 12 years agoJust wow at episode four.
Legion gets it's very own, very fashionable timeloop episode (sort of) taking a deep dive into Syd and it was wonderful.
The soundtrack was again incredible, the placement of that Bon Iver track during that scene was brilliant.
The big reveal and opening credits at the end mad my wife and I look at each other, jaws agape. Bloody love this show, such a shame the ratings are crap and it'll probably get cancelled at the end of the season. -

X-Men spin-off Legion will return for a third season
Yet more episodes to confuse you.
By Justin Harp
1 June 2018
X-Men spin-off Legion invites you along for another mind-bending journey into the world(s) of David Haller.
FX in the US announced on Friday (June 1) that it has commissioned a third season of Legion from Noah Hawley, who also partners with the cable channel on Fargo. New episodes will air in 2019.
FX original programming president Eric Schrier announced: "Legion has redefined the superhero drama and exceeded all expectations as the intensity and revelation build through the second season.
"We are incredibly proud of Noah Hawley's achievement and are honoured to continue the series as it pushes the boundaries of conventional television storytelling.
"We are also grateful for the contributions of our executive producers, John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Jeph Loeb with Marvel Television, as well as our outstanding cast and crew of this groundbreaking show."
This spin-off of the X-Men universe follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), son of Professor Charles Xavier, into his own mind as he tries to conquer his own powers and battle the demonic Shadow King (Navid Negahban).
Digital Spy recently chatted with Navid Negahban about what the future may hold for the Shadow King in a potential third season of Legion, and he wouldn't rule out a showdown with Professor X.
"There were some talks [before], but I don't know how real the talks were. Truly, I don't know. That's all up to Noah," he admitted. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah it's definitely that and I love it for that and it's arthousey sensibilities, but Legion is becoming increasingly difficult to love overall cause ALL of the characters are utterly loathsome now.
There's nobody left to root for and I guess it was always going that way, but after the Syd-centric igloo episode last season, well she's almost on David's level!
Still very glad it's going to have an actual ending. -
Chapter 22. Wow. Amazing episode.
