I suspect you'll be able to. It's an expensive Nintendo product in the UK that isn't lightning in a bottle like Wii.

Registered 17 years agoGiven (in Australia) that EB Games are asking people who have already pre-ordered whether they want to collect on launch day or not - I am expecting some shortages. -

Registered 15 years agoIt's Nintys ridiculously quaint modus operandi- there will definitely be shortages because it's part of their plan to get HYPE -

Registered 20 years agoI suspect is does actually help to resist pressures to drop prices early the longer it is in stock. But Nintendo products hardly seem to get reduced any more since Yamauchi's passing and the fire-sale of the Gamecube. Wii U still seems to be 250quid plus on amazon, although you do get a decent pack-in game at least now. 3DS models have dropped about 2/3rds since their 2011 launch, but the more recent 'xl' and 'new' models have pushed the going price above what I paid in 2011 for mine. That they seem to feel they're in a market of one, there's no real need to reduce prices lower than any competition.
It probably keeps the launch in the news for longer if shortages keep getting reported mind you. -

Update: Apparently the neon version is sold out at EB Games Australia.
