Just spent the morning setting up a wall-mount for my new monitor, only to find the display port plug is too big and stops the monitor slotting in to the wall mount

    Any ideas on a solution?

Something like this would be ideal, but they're HDMI rather than display port and I can't find a DP equivalent.

Put a couple of blocks of wood between the wall and the mount so it sits a little further forward

Yeah, looks like it'll have to be something like that - the only problem is it's a 2" gap.

Might have to switch to HDMI until they become more common.

I just had a Display port to hdmi for using my tv as a second monitor, I guess you could size one up and maybe see if it fits behind and return them if not.
