@el_pollo_diablo Is ok to not like something, just because others love it, it does not mean you have to.

Its a simple enough concept but one i struggle with from time to time.

It is also ok to like something that others dislike.

With regards to Hollow Knight I loved it and have been telling my PS4 owning mate how awesome it is. I am worried he will not like it when it is available on PS4. (Especially as he has just played God of War which is structurally similar but far more visually appealing).

I have gone the other way and I am now playing God of War. It is clearly great but when I die to projectile attacks from behind it can feel unfair*, whereas HK always felt in my control. In HK I died because I needed to be better in GoW I often blame the camera.

*GoW warns you projectiles are coming but not which direction to dodge which leads to guess work which I often fail at.

I couldn't get into Hollow Knight either. I just found it a little confusing as to where I was supposed to go, and yeah it harks back to the good old days, but my gaming time is pretty limited, so walking about lost isn't my idea of fun.

Just noticed that Grim Fandango remastered came out yesterday on the NA eshop. It is $15 and for that price I couldnít resist. Great adventure game from a older era.

Saboteur is coming to the Switch next week. I loved it back in the day. It has probably aged horribly but I'm interested to take a look at it after 30+ years.

    A very short trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhsseWXJNxI

Am I the only one not getting on with Hollow Knight?

I've given it an hour or so, and so far I'm just finding the combination of aimless traipsing around and sub-Tim Burton aesthetic pretty uninspiring. It's not driving me forward.

What am I missing here? You guys all seem to love it.
Nope I agree with you. I found it a bit more appealing after I advanced further but haven't touched it in a couple of weeks. It's a good platformer but I would rather be playing something else.
Same. Barely motivated to go back to it. Can see the appeal, just hasn't clicked for me.
Same here. Lovely art style, but I found it mostly tedious. Thatís after a dozen hours or even more.

Been put off buying smash bros as it has a £60 price tag on e shop... not ready to accept the £10 extra price on games.

I have been really enjoying the Flame in the Flood. You have to stick with it. It's tough!

Horizon Chase is out today and getting some decent reviews that I've seen. £18 seems a little steep but I've not bought anything for Switch in a while so I'll probably drop.

Guacamelee 2 has to be out soon, right?

December 10th. 10% discount if you pre-order (30% if you already own the first game on the Switch)

I read Saboteur and thought of this. I was disappointed.

Ended up buying Horizon Chase Turbo. Its good fun. £18 is possibly a bit steep but its very polished and seems to have a lot of content.

You can see its mobile F2P roots though. Has zero impact on the Switch version, but the currency and fuel to collect make its roots very obvious

It wasn't orginally F2P though. It launched on mobile as a paid game and only later switched to F2P.

Interesting. The fuel mechanic seems like an obvious way to fatigue F2P players into spending.

Thankfully its very playable as is.

I thought it was a fiver. Is it worth £15?

I'd say a tenner world be worth it. It's pretty generous on content. It just gets a little repetitive towards the end.

I struggled with Golf Story. Mario Golf it is not.

I probably need to spend more time with it....
