I was getting a lot of rubber banding and choppy gameplay in multiplayer on the x . Got so pissed I wired it and it’s gone thank goodness. I was about to get shot of it.

Must be shit because my router is 8ft from the X . Can it be fixed with a patch or is it internal?

No idea, but I assume internal. There’s a growing thread on Reddit about it; I signed up and gave my console details to the Xbox dev on there.

I “fixed” it by buying home plugs.

@Derblington home plugs good to know because sometimes I play upstairs on monitor where wired is not an option.

There isn't a killcam in Hardcore, is there?

Seriously, the MP is awful and I actually like CoD. It'd be ok if not for a couple of shit design choices that totally weight it.

Quick-scoping is ridiculously OP, more-so than it's ever been, and it seems everyone is doing it. I guess without the movement options from sci-fi everyone has transitioned to just shit insta-kills.
I've just had a game on Gustav Cannon against 6 snipers. I don't understand the appeal, and if this is all the game is going to be then I won't buy any more.

No it doesn't but the kill feed has an icon of how you died. The only snipers I see (or don't) are those defending the long straights on the ship or the map with B on the canon.

I'm enjoying it. It annoys me as much as any other cod game.

In Hardcore they die just as fast from anything else so they don't have any advantage other than distance.

In regular they can afford to take 2-3 bullets, and they'll kill you in their 1st.

See if it was annoying as much as it is you. I'd just give up and sell it on. It's the reason I play hardcore modes. Always do.

New update - everything is now active and working as intended; social space, random crate rewards, etc. Feels much more alive. I like it.

The two things aren't the same.

Quick-scoping is atrocious in regular and does absolutely ruin it for me (I've switched to hardcore and not encountered a single sniper in 3 games, which is better).

I like the social space feeling social, rather than the empty beach it has been.

The campaign was overall decent. Not the best COD, but it's more than serviceable.

I'm somewhat enjoying the multiplayer too. War mode is great. Wish there were more than a few maps for it though, but it's something.

Also got for Xmas, not expecting much from it, as bar the last one (controversially) I've been somewhat played out with them for a while. It's just that what if this ones better thing innit.

I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign and will be going back through it looking for mementos.

Only briefly tried the multi-player with a two day PSN+ trial and was impressed with it. A very solid and enjoyable multi-player.

Got this for Christmas on the PS4. Played two levels of the campaign today and got to stronghold. How ever upon resuming after having quit the game from the start screen, it's lost all my progress.

On the campaign screen I can only select d day, but if I choose resume game it takes me back to my game, just with no mementos showing. And it's now locked to recruit difficulty with no choice of changing it.

Anyone had similar? I wonder if it's because I don't have plus and it's trying to get a save file from the cloud?

    It's 120 motherfucking gig!
Coupled with dirt rally last month (80?), it's starting to feel like Sony are dropping hints towards anyone on plus still managing a 500 HDD...

I played the campaign on Xbox last year. Think I played (and enjoyed) a bit of CTF or whatever cod call it.

Is there a zombie mode, can't remember playing it.

I will probably download and runthrough campaign again, maybe mp. But I'm very much not a cod dude.

I played the first two levels this morning. I kind of glazed over though to be honest. I've only ever played CoD 1 and CoD: World at War. I used to like a WW2 setting and the opening is very bombastic but... Don't know. These games just don't really do anything for me. Thought I'd love it as well but I'm just getting shunted from one pop up shooting gallery to the next in a setting and narrative I've now seen a million times before. For some reason it's making me feel a bit dirty as well, after me and the boy watching some WW2 in colour the other night and seeing footage of the real thing. I normally have a bit of a disconnection, and I know it's just a game, but something felt off as I was mowing down Nazis that were running away.
