    https://warmind.io/activity

Don't know how reliable this site is, but that seems to be the gist of it.

Keep in mind that PC players so far have always had to deal with region locked servers too, so the number of people around should be even lower, especially during morning hours.

    Interesting, thanks.

I'm always amazed at how many cool websites there are in the Destiny ecosystem.

So, the latest patch was released today. If you have Forsaken, you should now have access to the annual pass content even if you didn't buy it before.

I canít seem to get the bungie.net site to work properly to activate cross save/migrate to steam. A pop up menu isnít loading properly on either the destiny app or on chrome on my pc since yesterday. I canít even get the .net page to load on explorer.
I can only deduce something is fucked.

Preload now available on Steam. Despite early claims of 160GB, it's actually just 87GB.

Just deleted my old folder to install this one. Means I won't be able to play this week, but I don't need to anyway. Got the Season 7 Nightfall emblem yesterday, so I'm done until October.

Curious to see if the eu and na servers will join up on pc or if there will still be an option to select region.

I think that was a problem with Battle.net rather than any of Bungie's specific decisions, after all the console versions don't have regional servers. I'd be surprised if the game on Steam still had that.

Started preloading on Steam. It is recommended that you need to do a fresh download rather than just transfer everything from Battle.net to Steam folder. That way this prevents further problems at launch when we're migrating to Steam.

Otherwise I am definitely looking forward to try out Shadowkeep on PC after years on the PS4.

A lot of changes coming with Shadowkeep. At a glance, it's a massive overhaul.

They are also removing pinnacle weapons in favor of curated legendary rolls. Apparently, they were afraid that pinnacle weapons were too similar to exotic, but without the drawback of wasting their slot, so they decided to fall back.

I think Iím going to ps once again on this and revisit the pc on steam. Itís itís natural home for me and the shopto credit price gives a decent saving for next run of content. Iíve not played ina while now though but havenít completed a raid since leviathan though as many have moved on.
The game seems to get better every proper expansion so would be silly to miss another on my go to game. Not watched any new footage outside of vidocs and trailers though or read into the gear changes.

Not sure whether to jump into this or not. Haven't played since completing the Forsaken campaign.

Not really got stuck into Destiny 2 but been playing quite a bit on PC and having a great time. I forgot how good the shooting feels. This expansion seems cool too, having a season level and artifact to level means there's always going to be a carrot to chase like paragon levels in Diablo 3 and I always like that.

I dropped off just after the next expansion with the forge things, is it worth a jump back in?
I wasted money with that xpac and it still bothers me now....

My PC is in storage (and has been for weeks) so am I right in thinking that I've missed the boat on migrating my characters from Battle.net to Steam?

I'm not so fussed in this moment, but had imagined I might try Shadowkeep at some point down the line. But if I've missed the boat, I'll just wait for the inevitable Destiny 3 in 2021.

    @Phattso you could always try.

    https://www.bungie.net/7/en/PCMove

I think it should still work until the Steam launch?

@Malek86 Cheers for that - seems to default to US for the Battle.net sign in, which won't work for my EU account. Will see if there's an obvious workaround otherwise I think they can just do one. What a faff! :)

I wouldn't count on that. They've been repeatedly talking about "5-year vision" and "single evolving world", which leads me to believe that there won't be a D3 anytime soon, if ever.

This is year 3 and the language they are speaking implies that yeah itís a five years plan.

I wonder if the F2P model will be truly susteinable for Bungie in the long run. At least, if they really want to stay independent.

I mean, it's working for Digital Extremes with Warframe, but they are half the size, and not independent, they are owned by a big Chinese holding. Plus, I don't think that working in Washington and working in Canada will incur in the same workforce costs.

It sounded to me like they were taking about where D2 is going to be 5 years from now, not 5 years from launch. From this month's ViDoc:

What weíre doing this year is telling our players where weíre going. Weíre saying Ďhey, weíre back. This is the five-year vision for the game.'

So for people who don't migrate to steam by tomorrow, they lose there characters? If so that seems harsh.

To be honest, I'm not sure. The only thing they have said is that, if you don't migrate by tomorrow, you'll lose your remaining Silver. They didn't mention whether one's account would disappear, so perhaps there will be time for that.

However, since Activision probably owns whatever servers Bungie was using for the game, there is a chance that they only let them keep the data around until the Steam launch. I don't know for sure.

I don't think they can just keep using Blizzard's servers forever, at some point they will have to delete the old characters.

I migrated over and downloaded in on Steam but it isn't showing in my library. When I search the store for it, it says it's already in my software library. I'm no doubt having a senior moment here but wtf, like.

    edit

That was on a different computer. Fuck sake.

There will be plenty of warning before anything like that happens. They said the split was amicable so I doubt there will be any drama.

So got this all ready on steam. I need to buy shadowkeep but I think i'll wait until I know my account has been transferred over. Hopefully no delays on that end.

I still haven't done any Forsaken content or the first season pass either so plenty to get on with. Saved it so I can get xp towards the new stuff.

@Wavey there's been word that Forsaken license transfering might take a little longer. Bungie has been telling people to play the new Shadowkeep content and the free-to-play stuff while they sort it out.
