I've cleared the first two encounters in the new raid and watched the rest. On first impressions it's my least favourite raid I e ever done..

Sent clan request. Not that I ever play with others, but I can contribute XP.

loving the expansion. Lots to do and really fun to be back on the moon. Got all my armour now and 860 so time to do final mission now. Anyone up for doing all the forges later in the week? I have done none of them and cba matchmaking with randoms.

This cross-save thing is cool, playing on the PC whilst the missus is using the TV!

It sure does take an age these days to load though.

Actually thought this expansion was the weakest. Finding the story hard to follow, and finding it hard to care. There's too much reliance on Essence cleaning or feeding into completing bounties. Opening mission relies on boring gameplay mechanics (defeating X enemies, and standing near something to charge it up) and there is a complete recycle of old boss content. Also feels like this doesn't have the production values of Forsaken with minimal cut-scenes and dialogue (which was my favourite) - though there has been some lovely vistas.

Finished the "Beyond" Mission last night - so don't know if that's the actual last mission or not?

@ZuluHero Did you beat all the bosses from previous destiny ie lets rehash the same shit and package it as new?

If so, that is the end of the campaign, for now?

They have said content will come out across the season this time though haven't they? Means there should hopefully be a steady stream of things to do. If that is the case it's better as it stops burning out so quickly as long as the content is decent.

The forsaken extra content wasnt amazing though so hopefully more meaningful than that.

Yeah the Vex stuff has started to happen (with cinematic to show arrival), and there seems to be a load of more nightmares to kill mission on the map?

    Here's hoping!

@Graxlar_v3 Yep! Story seems to fizzle out then?

I for one am glad they are doing a gradual release this time around. It's no fun being left behind because people with shitloads of free time devour the content within 3 days of an expansion being released and immediately go into speed run mode. This way makes the game much more welcoming for all players I think.

To be fair, it didn't take long at all, a couple of hours a night (mostly 9-11) and didn't even play every day. The last 4 missions were less than an hour combined.

My advice if you've finished the campaign is to follow the Exotic quest line you get (I think) after finishing the main story. You'll get a couple of new story missions along the way, one of which has a good/challenging set of mechanics.

It's unfortunate that exotic armour doesn't make use of that transmog (?) system. There's some nice ornament sets that had me tempted to get some silver but if it won't go on an exotic piece it won't all match and therefore look a bit of a mess. Fudge.

Almost as if they didn't have Activision's financial muscles anymore...

I figured something like this would happen. There have been reports showing that the campaign is by far one of the most expensive things in a shooter today (so it's not surprising that COD tried to do away with it). Now that Bungie is independent, they probably can't use up too much of the budget on something that people will run through in a few hours.

For god's sake, please tell me there's some quick way to level up the Graviton Lance catalyst, because that Cosmology kills requirement seems to never end.

There's an adventure on Mars where you need to stay near a console in the server room in Alton Dynamo and you're being swarmed by Thralls. Just stay far enough away from the console so the counter doesn't progress and shoot Thralls, you'll rack up Cosmology kills quite fast.

Alternatively, start the whisper quest and complete the jumping puzzle until you get to the open area where if you drop down there's an endless supply of shadow thralls to kill.

This area works well for most of the catalysts.

Those are some nice ideas. I was also told to use the well in the Last Wish raid to skip to the Shuro Chi fight and shoot thralls until my eyes bleed... that's a good idea too. But the Whisper one is probably the easiest way.

Wow, that Whisper trick sure works well. I completed both the Graviton Lance and Cerberus+1 catalysts quickly.

Now, it looks like the Eriana catalyst quest will take a lot longer...

Is Cerberus+1 any good? I tried it right when I got it and was disappointed, there was nothing "exotic" about it.

@ozthegweat I don't like it myself, but it does deal more damage than the average auto rifle. It's so unwieldy though.

The masterworked version makes it more accurate in exchange for much shorter range, turning it into a sort of powerful subsubmachine gun that fires slowly. I still don't like it, because the range seems a bit too short, but it might appeal to more people that way.

By now they really should have put something together like Bloodbornes chalice dungeons. The game is crying out for some procedural levels.

In case you aren't aware, there are some buffs to quest completion for that as part of the season pass. Somewhere between level 10-20 is a double progression and then level 22/23 has a triple progression. I'm about to reach that level so have held off on doing too many strikes until then.

So reset time and it looks like the game is broken, Iím now getting a server offline message.

@MatMan562 unfortunately, I think those only work for catalysts proper. Eriana's is actually a quest, so I don't think it's influenced.

I do have the triple progress boost already, and the quest still advances at a rate of 1% per strike. Maybe harder activities will give me more, but I'm not sure yet.

@Malek86 Weird, it should be specifically for that quest as it says "Objective progression earned within the Season Pass Exotic weapon catalyst quest". Maybe it's just really slow to begin with, but I thought I got 1% for one strike before getting either of the boosts as well, or perhaps it's bugged or something.

Looks like an area is being built behind Ikora. Guess they are sticking to a slow burn on the story. Always like stuff like that.
