I suppose we'll have to wait and see if the weekly mission is any good at least. And whether there will be any secret quests. That alone won't really change my opinion on this season, but at least I won't feel like I've wasted my reward points.

Registered 15 years agoEpitaph should only be 3 tapping with a damage boost of some form, not that it is hard to get one with all the shit stasis going on in crucible.
I still wouldn't use it though, needing 3 headshots even with a damage boost is kinda meh, I'd rather just use a 120. -

Registered 4 years agoOkay I've got my old characters back so I've got pretty much all the exotics again . Last word is so so much fun, it's close between that and chaperone for my most fun to use in crucible. Are the old guns still amazing or have they changed everything? So for example is dust rock blues still ridiculous? I see they have added Hawkmoon, need to get that if it's not too much effort. -

Registered 12 years agoSeems they've not done a lot to Hand Cannons and skidding rifle range Shotties from the IB I played to grab Pinnacles. Still, I was holding my own with a Monte Carlo on my 44 Mobility Warlock so fuck 'em. -

Registered 14 years agoCrucible is still hand cannon and shotgun hell. And now Stasis got added to the mix too.
I can still play a decent Suros, but it's not a good time for PvP. We haven't had any new maps in a long time, either. -

Registered 12 years agoAnyway, Vault of Glass kicks off in just over an hour and I'm so excited because A: I never usually get to play day one raids anymore due to a combination of not having time to gear sufficiently and not having a team to join up with and B: it's the Vault of fucking Glass! -

I don't mind most of the sliding shotgun players because you can see they have the shotgun, you can them sprinting so I know to aim lower with my last word. Usually stops them before they get to me. -

Registered 12 years agoSo contest mode combined with the slightly new mechanics made it no joke. Got to Atheon and called it a day after 8 hours. We all figured there was no point pushing on considering we'd then have to finish it again on Challenge mode to see any kind of reward for finishing on day one. It's a bit of a silly system but I sort of understand the why but it's a little too tryhard for our personal tastes.
Most of our time was spent on Templar. I've seen since that a lot of groups have found a trick to melt him in one phase with shotguns up close so it makes me kind of proud we stuck to our strategy using all the mechanics and downed him over 3 phases while dealing with about 600 tank Minotaurs. -

Registered 1 year agoDespite swearing that I was done with it this season (yet again), there really is nothing else like this for a rainy afternoon when you can't be arsed picking up something new...
Smashed out the Deathbringer catalyst earlier which has prompted me to adjust my regular PVE loadout a bit - now rocking the seasonal auto rifle with subsistence/rampage (not a perfect roll elsewhere, but it was the first I got and the best so far) and a decent roll deafening whisper (AA/wellspring). Actually looking forward to unlocking the warmind cell mod that'll pair wonderfully with the latter, so that's probably the carrot on a stick that'll keep me playing this season.
Curious to see what the weekly pinnacle quests end up being too, and I normally enjoy a bit of solstice action... Goddamnit, I'm back in! -
