The link was delivered via the 8-bit Bayo game released on Steam, and 1 & 2 sold like shit on the Wii U so there'll be little motivation or cause for dev funds to go into Switch ports. It may happen (hopefully) later on, but that's not what this is.

Yep, Bayo 1 PC port most likely. As mentioned previously the steamDB listing for it leaked a while ago.

Now that you mention it, the little 8-bit bayonetta game they released on Steam at the 1st of April, was either a hint, or extremely cruel.

God, it's only been a few days and I'd completely forgotten about this. No Bayonetta announcement requires a week long fucking countdown.

Yep, I keep forgetting about it too. I'm only reminded when I see a thread bumped on GAF.

I imagine it'll just be a PC port of the first game. Which is nice! But doesn't require a week-long countdown.

Anything more will be a nice Brucie.

Seriously though, if Sega think the interest in the IP is worth a build up that has a hype-driving week long countdown, then why the fuck aren't they already bankrolling a multiformat Bayo 3?

Yeah, which is why I didn't allow myself to get carried away. It always looked like this was what we were going to get to me, anyway.

I do wonder if we'll see Switch ports of 1 and 2 in tomorrow's Nintendo Direct... I would guess there's little to no chance of that, but that'd also be nice.

Any word on pricing yet? I'd be tempted at a sub-�15 price-point, but not sure I want to go higher than that. Anything over �20 would likely be out, given I already bought this for two platforms and was getting ever so slightly bored with the formula by the end of Bayonetta 2.

Fingers crossed this is testing the waters for a larger scale new project across multiple platforms. Slightly surprised there don't seem to be XB1/PS4 versions as well; I'm about as PC:MR as you get, but even on PC, I'd be playing this on a pad.

Edit: And while Sega are moving their last-gen console backlog over to PC, how about Vanquish while we're at it?

If there's ANY game that I felt console-jealous for as a PC player, Bayonetta was it. Thank you Platinum! Good thing too. Emulation sucked Donkey Balls.
