I have to admit, it's kinda fun watching in Spectator Mode before joining a race. It's quite heartening to realize that while you're being battered with items, so is everybody else!

I was going out for cigarette breaks and missed a few games. Was glorious coming in and rinsing my mate on speakerphone as he was getting dry humped by every shell. I think we're horrible people though😂

Does anyone else know what happens if you fire a Blue Shell when you're in first place? If you get one nearer the back, then work your way up to first and fire it, does it just instantly blast you? Or will it do a full circuit all the way round to you, then blast you?

It's not something I've ever seen happen because the circumstances would need to be very specific.

I suppose it would make its way round the track and blast you, as it gets thrown forward and would not then do a u turn to hit you immediately.

I worked out what was wrong with my pro controller, nothing. I'd accidently turned on motion controls which explains why my kart was never driving straight!

@DanoFNG Chuff me, I haven't found the time to properly start 150 cc yet. I did one Grand Prix, 3 starred it but thought it was tough. I never 3 starred any course on the Wii U version. I really need to stop playing BotW so much.

Impressive. I managed all the gold trophies but have only 3-starred one. What's weird is how easy it makes 150cc. It's kinda like playing snooker and then going back to the pool table!

I found RR a struggle on 200cc as well, had to make the lowest speed build I could.

Was doing a mirror championship, came 1st, 1st, 9th, 1st.... damn you mario kart and your mario karting ways!!!

But 9th.... no idea have never come that low in single player before. I was well and truly fucked over!

@DFawkes in the Wii version I got a blue shell in 3rd and as I went to fire it, got into 1st and it went straight up in the air and hit me like this

Playing online yesterday and I got hit by a blue shell just I was about to cross the finish line. The thing is I was in 3rd place, but I assume that as 1st and 2nd had already finished it just settled on the next place.

Was a real pisser, ended up coming 5th.

Yes, if places have crossed the line, then it goes to the highest number still racing.

Finally spent some time acheiving gold trophies on each cup in 200CC and unlocked Gold Mario.
