That's correct, no point in going higher. Orc has his numbers wrong as there is no shield with that as a passive bonus.

I should have taken a picture, it was one of those big ones that can't parry.

Yeah it's when you go sewers, ancient sewers and then you should have an exit to an area that is a different boss called conjunctivitis. He is probably a bit harder than concierge because he can be tricky with some setups. A pure melee build can make him a bit annoying but still doable

@Frogofdoom ah, okay. I haven't unlocked the skill to get to those areas yet.

Should get the one for sewers pretty quickly, isn't it from the elite archer?

I think there should be an option (that you pay cells for or whatever) to "lock" a couple of items into higher rotation or increased spawn rate. I like finding blueprints and unlocking new items, but am constantly aware that I'm watering down the item pool with stuff that may not be very useful to me - particularly if I'm going to start doing harder difficulties.

If the game did have that option, I wouldn't feel like I'm getting punished for unlocking new items to experiment with.

You get a blueprint to cycle the shops contents after a while for a fee. With that and the pickups along the way you can almost always get something half decent by the time the game gets harder.

Yeah, but the fee itself is pretty pricey. It goes up into the thousands of dollars, which is the kind of money I don't always have to spare (especially if I've recently died).

It's not like other item-unlock games like Risk of Rain, which gets away with item randomness because it's all about stacking dozens of broken effects together. In this you have 4 items at a time, and unlocking things to experiment with feels like a barrier to your progress.

It's not a huge issue or anything - I still like the game. It just feels like there's a big downside to unlocking things, and I don't think there should be.

A good change would be to drop the weapon when the blueprint drops so you can have a go and decide if you want to unlock it.

    Honestly, i am with Mola...

I wanted to max out the jars because it was something to do but quickly realised in doing so i would reduce the likelihood of me getting good weapons.

The ratio of great to rubbish weapons is a bit too tilted towards rubbish for my liking.

That's why my solution of dropping a weapon along with the blueprint would fix it, that way you won't spend cells on it if it feels shitty and can save them for the far more useful blacksmith.

Alright I'm looking at a Front Line Shield I right now that says "Absorbs 90% damage - inflicts 46 damage", what's that about then if the max is 75%? Or is absorption somehow different to reduction? Plz help.

It absorbs 90% if it's held up. If it isn't held up, it absorbs nothing.

I'm way behind on all this, but I finally beat the Concierge on my fourth visit to him. This time I had two sets of Crossbow-matics which I liberally dropped and I had chosen loads of purple scrolls, so it was all over pretty quickly. It seems I am most successful with stealth/cowardice.

I'm not sure I love this quite as much as Rogue Legacy, but it's really growing on me.

Face tanking things is a quick way to reset the game. It's all about being slipperier than an eel and doing as much damage from a safe distance as possible.

Good luck trying that strategy with the final boss.

    (it won't work)

(unless you're really good at dodging)

The giant eye thing? It's not particularly complicated, just keep hitting it and dodge the tentacles.

That particular boss is not in the ossuary...

What exactly is this dude that you are referring to? There are many in the ossuary.

Sorry. I've been there 3 times now and only seen the one. He's in a small room filled with spikes along the walls. His one of those guys with a huge sword and I think he spawns other creatures to help. It's over so fast it's hard to tell.

Sounds like the Elite room containing the rune for the Ossuary. I like to run with skills like the crossbow turret or slicer, couple of those on the floor tend to make the fight trivial if you collect a few scrolls.

Elite slasher mini boss. Gives you a rune. I find him easy with ice but knowing how to dodge him makes him a lot easier.

I had 2 shredder traps but he still destroyed me in seconds. I'll try ice and see how that goes. I think I need to learn how to dodge those guys. I tend to avoid them in the level.

Yeah, just get good at dodging and such. If your traps are upgraded, they can even do most of the work while you shoot him with a bow or whatever.
