I'm a couple of hours into this. It's good, but I'm finding the buildings getting in the way of traversal :p It reminds me of Bugaboo the Flea, jumping from point to point.

Honestly, it was fantastic. I'm not a big Marvel buff myself but I loved every second of it. Doesn't outstay it's welcome, is technically stunning and the character and plot work I found better than any of the Marvel films I've tried to watch. It's comparable to Naughty Dog stuff and at times, exceeds it.

There are rumours Spider-Man Remastered is due to go standalone soon for anyone still looking to pick up just that and not Miles.

It's definitely cut from the same cloth as the Arkham series... You'll either love it or bounce straight off it.

MM is a lot snappier paced and has less open world bloat, so probably the better option IMO, as I doubt you'll want to play through both as the city is great but gets way too familiar. Then again if you play the original and loved it, MM isn't that big of a commitment if you want to check it out.

There's a nice variation in there with it being winter in MM, but yeah. Back to back would probably open you up to a bit of fatigue.

I've still got remastered on ice for after I've finished a few other things up.

Thanks, hopefully it clicks. Amazon had Ultimate for 'only' £57 and I had a £50 voucher from work so thought I'd treat myself.

I saw a leak that suggested the stand alone Remastered will be 39.99 so this seemed a decent price for both. Also doing it this way I can at least trade the MM disc (without the code) and cut my losses if isn't for me.

Will probably mainline Remastered first and just do the story missions as I gather that has fairly poor side quests but has relevance to MM.

If Sony try and sell the standalone remastered version for £39.99, they will be royally taking the piss.

£30.00 max, but I only bite at £20.00.

I just completed the PS4 game on my PS5. Combat was fucking repetitive but overall it was a fantastic game.

    £39.99 seems mental.

I 'upgraded' for £20. I suppose if you want to put a non MM tax on it £30 would be about right.

Can't remember exactly where I saw it but it was supposedly a leak from the product page of the US PSN store so that would be $39.99, so maybe £34.99? I'm not sure how they usually do the conversation but 1:1 isn't exactly unheard of.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest going by the prices for stuff so far on PS5.

In fairness, it does also come with all the DLC I believe so you'd still get a lot of bang for your buck.

Its shit for me though that already own the original. I'm not paying £30.00+ just for slightly better visuals.

Give me a upgrade route for £20.00 max please.

You don't get rich by spaffing away £30 on a game you already own!

Well I just bought the ultimate edition of miles morales on ps5 from the India store for £50. Quite happy with that.

This was the first time I have ever set up a foreign psn username for this purpose, it was surprisingly easy to do. Just paid with my revolut card which I have been using for ages on the Nintendo switch foreign stores, works a treat.

I think it's worth it given the reviews of MM. I haven't touched it yet as I've been going through the remaster with the lad. Looks stunning in performance mode. Can't go back to fidelity. It's headache inducing when you've switch.

Iíll be playing the remaster again first. I hear there is now 3 modes: fidelity, performance, RT performance.

Iíll be going for the RT performance if this is also available in the remaster. Dear god, why is my internet so slow, still 1hr40 before I can play

Didn't realise there was a 3rd mode. Will have to check it out. Game's stunning even in performance. Forgot how good the voice and face animations are.

I'm just at the final mission on this (never played it on PS4 - so it's like a proper next gen game for me) - but I was wondering whether the 3 CTNS DLCs were worth playing?

The all look pretty short and I'm happy to keep swinging around NY for a bit longer...

I'm playing with Performance RT. Easily the best compromise as 30 feels wrong after 60 but it's nice to have the reflections.

I'm about 75% through the remaster now. Technically very very impressive. Probably only an 8/10 at the moment but it's enough for me to want to finish it. It's got far too many side objects that only seem there to fill time but give points you need for upgrades. However they aren't so bad that I can happily ignore them so I'm sort of compulsively doing them without enjoying it thanks to my annoying compulsion to tidy the map.

The dlc is ok - very much more of the same.
Mainlining the story is pretty short, itís, again, all the map icons that take up the majority of the time but none are mandatory.

The 3rd dlc went off the rails a bit for me.
I finished up the city stuff in that one and platinumed Miles Morales today, so both games are now 100% complete.

Really enjoying Miles Morales, feels so much better at 60fps. Impressed.

Is this game (Spider-Man, not Morale's) really so not long? I played it for a couple of hours yesterday and in the save-game menu it said that 12 percent completed.

It's not all that long, no.

SM is about 8-10 hours, MM is about 5. Both have lots of side-missions, collectibles and combat arenas that will add to your playtime, but SM has a LOT more of those. None are required for completion though. That's really where MM streamlined.

SM (without DLC) was more like 20hrs for me and I did about half of the optional stuff (something like 80% completion). Onto the DLC now and they seem pretty short, although I am rushing them as I want to get onto MM.

I replayed Spider-man (though Remastered) before playing MM over Xmas and just stuck to the story as I'd already got the platinum. The format is exactly the same as MM: open-world traversal to mission marker > do mission > repeat. Occasionally after a mission the game tells you to freeroam but you only need to do a single activity, and that can be picking up a backpack or crime, and then it gives you the next mission marker.

There's a lot of side content that you tend to get caught up in because you're playing all the content but you can skip virtually all of it if you don't care about getting tokens to buy costumes and upgrade gadgets.

Both are fairly lean if you want them to be. If you're doing all the stuff then SM is about 20-25 and MM is 10-15.
