One of the worst. Still nowhere near as bad as Die Another Day or A View To A Kill (although I haven't seen this for years).

Registered 14 years agoQoS is edited to within an inch of its life. It's quite painful to watch.
I know a lot of it goes on these days, but when I watched Spectre again recently, the close-ups on Daniel Craig seemed very suspiciously smoothed.

Yeah, it's pure 80s camp. Sure it's shit but in a fun way.

Die Another Day couldn't be saved even by Halle Berry. -

Registered 10 years agoI quite like QoS. For a start, it's an actual sequel with a proper plot and has reverberations from the previous one. The action's still pretty good and Bond takes a kicking. In the later instalments he's just a robot. It's also under two hours, so the editing works for me.
He also doesn't semi-rape anyone which he's sort of done in the last two.
I will say it works better watching it within a week of Casino Royale but I'd happily put it on over about a dozen of the others. -

Registered 14 years agoIt's a flashy, overdirected mess. I like that it just carries straight on from Casino Royale, but that's about it. Dominic Greene is a woefully unthreatening villain, and the finale is meh.
Theme song is pub karaoke special too. -

Registered 10 years agoWell seems
the Italian and Spanish trailers have given away a big spoiler
As for the trailer it probably could have done with being about 30 seconds. Too much stuff given away but then that's nothing new now days and who needs a near 3 minute trailer?

Registered 17 years agoNot a bad choice at all. He’s 43 though so they can maybe get 2 or 3 films out of him.
Until there’s an official announcement though, no point in getting hyped up. The amount of trouble they’ve had with this film, it could take a while to even start production.
Unless they’ve already got a script and are ready to go. Maybe have Fukunaga locked in. -

Registered 11 years agoI highly doubt that this is official, absolutely no chance they’ll announce the next Bond before Craig has had his send off.
I also doubt they’ll go with Hardy, very rarely they go with the “obvious” choice......if anything the rumours of James Norton getting it are more likely. -

Boyega or Jack O Connell for me. -

Registered 10 years agoYes he would. I just want a younger Bond. Nobody over 35.
Craig started at 36 but hung around far too long
Brosnan started at 42 and looked naff by his third
Dalton was 41 and got away with it
But Moore... goddamn...he set a bad precedent
Give it someone early 30s, do 3-4 solid films over 10 years then let it go dormant for a bit. Repeat. -

Oh wait, it's not that wanker who did American Beauty anymore. It's the True detective guy.
This one might not actually be shit like the last four.

Registered 1 year agoI can't quite picture him in the role... He's a bit on the chunky side!
People have mentioned Hiddleton in the past, but he's going the opposite way - far too gaunt.
Defo agree that we need a 30 something Bond for once though. -

Registered 15 years agoI don’t think there’s anything wrong with Bond being older. It’s Bond pretending to be young that’s painful. I’ve enjoyed Craig’s take on an actual ageing Bond. -

Lazenby is actually the worst thing in OHMSS. He's a duff actor but he's so different to Connery that it works.
Generally, I like all of the Bonds for different reasons but can't hack it when they try and play him younger.
Though the quasi rapeness of Craig really soured me. -
