Registered 14 years agoHe tried again multiple times. And was racially abused each time.
I am not black but found Xbox Live to be far too toxic for me. 30 minutes of Gears was enough to stop me playing online for over 2 years.
Pretty much the only time I ever use a headset is to talk to my mates or fellow Destiny Clan members on PSN. -

Registered 6 years agoNo doubt parties and playing with friends makes online play far more enjoyable.
That said I have had numerous fun encounters with strangers on Live and on PC. But also numerous toxic arseholes. Not for a while though. -

Registered 8 years agoAs a rule I only use voice chat when playing with a party of friends. Never use it playing alone, not so much for the incessant racism, which was only ever prevalent when playing CoD on the 360, but more to block out babies screaming in the background and people playing tinny music from their mobile phones. -

So you quit reading after about a quarter and decided to share your thoughts with the rest of us? Why not just read the entire thing?

Registered 15 years agoI rarely use voice chat, but the few times I have with randoms have been fairly enlightening. Yes, the casual prejudice, but also, as Jambo says, kids screaming and, worse, people screaming at clearly young kids while they're splattering skulls in Wolfenstein or similar. Makes this soppy parent am cry

Weird that Nazis and white supremacists would see women as nothing but aryan baby-making machines. Weird that women that have spent all this time proudly beating the anti-feminist drum would find this a problem.
Almost as if they didn't have an issue with people being bigoted assholes until the assholes were assholes towards them. -

Registered 18 years agoSpeaking of which. I saw some charmer on twitter claiming Jesus was against taxes. I should have asked him for the verse. -

God there's so much irony and stupidity in the quotes from those women that I don't know where to start. As it's already been highlighted I'm pretty sure the fundamental corner stone belief for alt right men is that the woman's place is in the home, to continually give birth to feed the white resistance and to speak only when spoken to. I'll just skip past the fact a lot of those guys are neckbeards who haven't even been with a woman

Do you think the old white supremacists look at these younger ones and say
"Gods damn millennials whining on the internet like a bunch a cry babies about the failure of the white race. Back in my day we were proud we did things like burnt crosses and rallied where we liked. Half of these young peckerwoods ain't even been to a gods damn lynching. None of dem has got the stones to bomb a church. Some of them ain't even read Mein Kampf." -

Registered 18 years agoI'd be surprised if they didn't. That said, the lol-right have been really good at using the internet for their cause. Well, they received ample help from Putin and his troll army so maybe I'm giving the knuckle draggers too much credit.
Come to think of it. If FB manages to put a sock in the mouth of the socks, there will probably be much more of these kinds of melt downs.
The only ones left are those that can't hide their feelings of entitlement and those that will resent them for it. All pigs are equal etc. Wrestle in the mud. -
