    Aye, i tend to use Cyrus to tell me what i need to know.

    I do see a future where you will need to return to town and change your party because you cant brute strength your way through

    How many characters had you picked up before doing chapter 2?
    Only picked up four characters, and I was around 8-9 levels below the recommended level (which was 22 I think). So yeah, probably not surprising, but I did read somewhere that the recommended levels were just a guide, and that you can level up easily in the dungeons anyway (which I would have done if I hadn't turned the random battles rate down).

    1. Primrose’s Peacock Strut on Cyrus
    2. Ophilia’s ultimate on Cyrus
    3. Cyrus’s buffed double strike elemental spells now hit 4 times per turn. Cast in 2/3 consecutive turns.
    4. Thoroughly dead boss.

    It's crazy how tonally different Primrose's story is compared to the others. Some of the dialogue exchanges in the first chapter were a bit O_o

    I actually like it - even though its approach to mature themes is quite heavy handed, it's still far more interesting than the other characters I've encountered. Really looking forward to finding those three fuckers and kicking their arses.

    Anyone got any good secondary class combos going? Have given Ophelia Dancer for dark magic and buffs. Was thinking about a bit of Mercenary for Cyrus for the wind element spells.

    I assume you mean Merchant for Cyrus? That combo works well as it gives him an extra elemental attack and the Rest ability from the Merchant class allows him to top up his health and SP.

    My main party of 4 are as follows:

    Therion (thief) + Dancer
    Increases his already great speed stats which is also linked directly to his Divine skill.

    Ophilia (cleric) + Scholar
    Increases elemental attack and adds the elementals to her magics. She is a beast when it comes to attacking and providing healing support.

    H'annit (hunter) + Warrior
    Access to a lot of different weapon types, strong HP, Strength etc. Works very well.

    Alfyn (MAIN CHARACTER apocothery) + Hunter
    The one I am least happy with but it was the class left over. Still ok though although may change with someone else.

    I take it the second classes unlock once you got to 5000 job points on characters?

    Think i will put mage on primrose as she as good SP recovery perk

    @JoelStinty nope, gotta get them a different way. You'll probably find out on your way to ch2 for a character if you're thorough.

    No thats not how it works. I dont think this is much of a spoiler personally...

    The 2nd classes (jobs) can be found in Shrines when out and about exploring the world. They are generally easy to find if you like to explore. All the main 8 jobs can be found just outside the main starting areas on the map.

    The Divine Skills are the last skills of each job which you can unlock when you have ammassed enough JP (Job Points).

    I done my first chapter 3 boss recently and I have to say they certainly upped things a gear in the difficulty stakes. Made me have to reasses my strategy which I enjoyed.

    Ahh ok I’ve come across one already when I was on chapter 1, other areas I think I missed because I was too low level to enter certain caves etc and just left to come back to later.

    @hypoBla5t I just finshed Oblerins chapter 3. Found it quite easy compared to the one prior.

    I have found my fav 4 characters which are working very well and using all 8 of the main jobs in my party...

    Alfyn + Merchant (healing, concoctions and money. Not bad strength too)
    Therion + Dancer (speed, evasion, double dagger hits, buffs and debuffs)
    Ophilia + Scholar (high elements attacks + healing)
    H'annit + Warrior (all round tough bitch)

    By the way guys, any passive skills you pick up in secondary jobs can always be equipped, so totally worth taking a few skills in dancer for the SP regen skill.

    @hypoBla5t Yep I have the "Second Wind" passive skill equipped on both Ophilia and Cyrus. SP regen every turn is very useful for these two.

    @Graxlar_v3 Cyrus and merchant work well as Cyrus can use the helpful rest ability to get back sp. I actually made Cyrus a thief so he steals back the sp.

    Ok I think I'm addicted to this game. I've got 2 chapter 3's left and played for 70 hours...that's not healthy.

    I keep learning new strategies in battle too. This has to be the most in depth turn based RPG I have ever played.
    Primrose had become the ultimate support unit. Her divine skill I cast on herself, and with the passive abilities lasts 5 turns instead of 3. I use donate BP from my merchants on her, then use all the buffs available which in turn affect every character. Everyone has extra physical and elemental defence and strength, extra speed. Her secondary job is also cleric so she can cast reflect on everyone too.

    There are so many different ways you can approach battle. Loving it big time.

    @richyroo If you combine SP Saver & Second Wind as support skills with SP over 200, your spells casters basically become self-sufficient. Better than wasting a turn on a Rest action.

    Still loving this game, but the lack of a over aching story leaves me wondering if i am just gonna fall off a cliff with it at some point.

    That used to bother me, but I'm now thinking that might be because it's just so different and unconventional. The individual stories are actually rather good.

    It's not something I really miss whilst playing, but then those little travel banter bits just hammer home how weird it is that the characters never actually talk to each other as a group. I guess that would be impossible to implement considering the scope/style of the game, but still.

    Another minor gripe - when assigning secondary jobs, why aren't the character outfit changes reflected in the on-screen sprites?

    @Kay Yeah strange how they are actually reflected in the battles, but not when your wondering around on the map.

    Regarding the story, I have heard (although cannot confirm as I want to avoid spoilers) that the stories do somehow come together at the end. I have no idea how this is done and if its any good, but something to look forward to....if true.

    @Kay on the latter point, each of the 8 characters would need 7 new sets of sprites created from scratch for that to happen. There's probably at least 100 or so in the sprite sheet, so that would have required a solid... 5600 or so new sprites to be created? Probably more efficient just only doing it for battles.

    Even if you could inherit bits from other sprites, it's not a small job.

    The music in this is so good. My favourite track so far is the Saintsbridge theme. It maddeningly one note but so good.

    @JoelStinty I love when you get to a boss battle. The music kind of blends in with the start of the boss battle music. It is done so well and the music for the bossses is excellent it makes the hairs stand up on my arm.

    I'm now about to start my 1st chapter 4 and I have played for 72 hours...that's crazy...and a little scary. I can see myself hitting 100 hours in this easy.

    Also found one of the advanced jobs...but not got it yet. Let's just say it's not so easy as the other shrines.
