Neogaf is currently having a bit of a meltdown as the site owner (evilore) has been accused of sexual harassment. A few mods and a lot of posters have been banned/quit.

Hopefully there's no skeletons in Roger Eurogamer's closet.

Shit, I frequent Neogaf quite often. Despite some of the hyperbole and drama in the forums, I really do enjoy using both the off-topic and gaming sections there. Hope it survives :/

Not the first time he's behaved in a dodgy way reading up on it, one of his mates and mod of the site (Amir0x) got arrested on paeodo charges a few months back and Evilore claimed he never even knew his first name in spite of him meeting him in person and donating $1000 to his gofundme page for his sick mother (which was likely a scam).

Very odd to lie like that, and again a lot of users got banned during that time questioning how much Evilore knew about Amirox's behaviour.

Neogaf is a highly progressive community and most of the posts on there atm are slamming Evilore, it's not being moderated as a lot of the mods seem to have quit in disgust.

Can't see why Evilore would keep the site up after this, advertisers won't touch it with a barge pole

Seems to be back. Earlier, I saw evidence of shitposts, but clicking through I just got database errors. Looks now like that was just the database backend timing out because it was either actually or effectively getting DDoSsed. It's now working a bit better, and I can see most of the shitposts have been cleaned up, and I can see old posts that predate this shit, so it doesn't look like anything's been lost, it just might be a bit unstable until it all calms down, and in case some s/kiddie's paid for a DDoS on it, that'll expire soon.
