In related news, the singer Duffy who was quite big years ago then dropped off a cliff has come out and said she was held captive, drugged and raped over days. That's why she didn't work for so long.

You got me beggin' you for mercy
    Why won't you release me
You got me beggin' you for mercy
    Why won't you release me
    I said release me

    Now you think that I
Will be somethin' on the side
    But you got to understand
    That I need a man
    Who can take my hand
    Yes I do

I don't know what this is
    But you got me good
Just like you knew you would

I mean, this is some pretty mixed messages here

My money is on user HairyBackrub. He must've wanted seconds after Diana Vickers.

So...the question on all of our minds is did the song come first or second? Cause there's a bloody awful chance that, if it came first, it inspired some lunatic.

Feel so sorry for her. Still hate her voice though.

23 years. I guess appeals and the definition of 'prison' may be qualified yet, but the rapist gets a bigger sentence than I expected...

    And he's got 23 years.

    Good.

EDIT: Ooh, you just pipped me to it.

Good, the fact that his team tried to get a lower sentence for his 'positive contributions and achievements' made me throw up a bit.

Good job he had that stent fitted because I bet that came as a bit of a shock.

Yeah, I know it is the job of the defence to do as much as possible to help a defendant. God knows wanton justice needs something to keep it in check. But, in cases like this, I wonder how people really feel about themselves whilst they think 'creatively' of ways to make such people more wholesome.

Quite, especially the hiring of a female attorney for his team who was using some twisted form of feminism to defend him.

I notice Alex Salmond's lead QC is a woman too. It's so transparent.
edit - oh, she's the junior QC, my mistake. She was the only one mentioned on the news last night.

Hmm wonder how long he'll actually serve, assuming any appeals fail. Hes 67 now so hopefully he might be in his 80s before eligible but I don't think there's a standard for this in the US. Of course given his recent 'apparent heath downturn' he might pop off sooner rather than later, one can only hope or maybe he'll do the honourable thing and top himself and save the taxpayer.

Maybe he didn't like Weinstein and he's just happy?

Considering Weinstein's hobbies were public knowledge over there, you basically had to be a cunt like him to like him.
