Direct didn't distill me with confidence. I also found the gameplay in X laborious and I can't see this being any different. I really need an Xmas game though and I've played everything else I want to play.

I loved Xenoblade Chronicles, only just played it this year so hoping this is more of the same.

Should really watch some coverage to make sure it is, but don’t want to spoil the game.

I don’t think they have a choice but to explain the battle system in this because man... that menu u.i is... everywhere!

Having said that people whom have played it at events say the battle system is pretty cool so let’s hope it is easy to pick up.

Not sure how I feel about the game though, I’m not that hyped for it and I actually wanted them to announce a hd remaster of the the first Xc and play that instead.Might wait till reviews drop before buying. I think I’d be more up for it if I hadn’t played FF12 a month or so back.

In other words I probably still pre-0rder it 😂

Oh and for those wondering the game will be 14gb in size.

Oh come on! Just watched the direct, it's a JRPG wet dream. Boy becomes hero, damsel in distress, saving the world, thumping soundtrack, bizzare battle and "job" systems, randomly upgradable items, character "interactions", copious cutscenes.

I may not play another game for months!

re: battle system - i found the original one in XC hard to get into at the start, by the end i was waltzing through the game without any particular minmaxing. You didn't have to get into every single aspect if you couldn't be bothered.

I'm not a huge JRPG player but I've pre ordered. It looks genuinely epic, should be another BOTW-esque explore-a-thon.

I wanted a pro-controller too so I've shelled out the extra £5 for the XC2 one.

I'm just glad it'll have dual audio (albeit as free DLC), because the voice acting sounds horrendous. Well, at least the main character and the Nopon thing do.

But the voice work in the first was brilliant... Haven't watched vids at all as I'm buying it based on the first one, but I assumed they'd keep it high quality.

I liked the English voice acting in the original. It wasn't perfect, but it wad a nice change to the usual American stuff. I also prefer most western subs to the Japanese stuff as the women in particular can sound horrendous when shouting or exclaiming things.

I put in my pre-order to day, i've watched a few vids over the last few days and thought why not?

Gone against the grain of my digital purchasing habits this year and opted for the physical, the game size (14gb) is quite extensive. I think any thing in that range will be physical , the rest digital.

Might take a week's break from gaming leading up to it, so that i'm nice and refreshed!

I always just stick to English dubs in games, as I find them to be completely fine at worst, and often very, very good.

This one sounds bad, though.

I’m sure I heard different accents in the trailers, e.g. Scottish.
Nothing as good as “It’s Reyn time” though.

I couldnt stand the English dub of the original. Was switched staright to Jap dub!

Have they? I hope so personally as they're the one thing that's really grated with me in the clips I've seen so far. The hero has sounded like a right muppet.
