Right now, Resetera feels a little bit where people are trying to be earnest for the sake of being earnest. 'Is it OK to call people in a party 'guys' if there are women there?', 'A carrots a patriarchial vegetable because of their shape'.

At some point the piety turns into parody.

Resetera has over 4,000 replies.

The last time I glanced at GAF the entire userbase seemed to be made up of a handful of alt-right types and Trump fans.

Era is Gaf is Era. Nothing has changed apart from the URL. Modding is still horrendous; "User is banned for drive by posting" is all over the place. They have an "Adopt a user" thread where newbies who dont have permissions to create threads can beg/suck/whatever to get a regular to (wait for it) CREATE THE THREAD ON THEIR BEHALF.

Its embarrassing. Well, for those who are part of it.

Neogaf needed to die, not be reborn.

The adopt a user stuff is embarrassing but I don't see the big deal apart from that.
