They haven't released anything since 2014 so it may be quite far along.

Looks interesting. Hopefully the gameplay will be better than the infamous games. If it's a Samurai game combat and movement should be quite tight and intricate. SP tend to do floaty, imprecise and just a little off normally.

I've made it sound like I hate their games there but I don't and this looks like it could be a positive departure for them from a setting and gameplay perspective. New IP is always welcome.

Are there any sausages in it?

Open world samurai game, yes please! But agreed that the Infamous games lack a bit of precision, will be interesting to see it in motion. Especially when compared to Nioh which is already such a phenomenal ninja/samurai game.

Their controls are normally solid enough for everything bar shooting and there shouldn't be too much of that. In infamous they are so irritating I tend to mostly melee stuff. They need a bit more quest variation though as that's what really let's their games down.

I'll give this a chance as it looks ace, but... Sucker Punch.

I like their games a lot, but a satisfying samurai melee combat game will need tight, focused, and deep fighting mechanics and responsive controls and that has been by far their biggest weakness up to now. They have got some guts to go this far out of their comfort zone, I hope they can pull it off.

Looked nice, but their games never chimed with me so I will check back in when I see some gameplay.

Definitely approve of the setting though

Looks beautiful. Bit concerned that the game may be playing itself like Assassin's Creed though.

Looks very impressive but the English language/septic accents can die in a fire.

Thought the gameplay looked bland. Much morr interested in Nioh 2 and the From one.

@Decks Same here. Looks fantastic, but I am scared that this will be a Ubisoft game in all but name. *cough* Horizon *cough*

I think I could live with that for the sake of the aesthetic. It looks phenomenal. Shame it isn't authentically voiced throughout with subs though, although I'm possibly in a minority with that. Shame it's unlikely to come to PC.

Not at all, moronic shit like that can be a dealbreaker for me.
Please have a non-tard dub as an option please.

There might just be an overabundance of samurai/ninja games when an open world(?) Sucker Punch one is maybe the least anticipated announcement in the last 2 days.

No problem for me though. I live for this shit.

Gameplay looks fairly generic but the setting, art and music mean I'm all over this. Hopefully out this year? No big Sony first party games scheduled around Xmas

I've enjoyed all the Infamous games, Last Light and Second Son looked superb on the Pro with HDR.

This looks very nice, one gripe though.. and it's not just about this game it applies to lots of games. Please please please stop with all the leaves and god knows what else floating around. What a waste of processing power!

It's one of the cheapest effects you can do, which is probably why so many do it. Also helps with the sense of motion. I'm a fan. MOAR LEAVES!
