You won't regret it. Looks stunning, plays even better. And if you like big hats you're in for a hell of a time.

    Hats you say?

Bet it makes my pro sound like an aeroplane though if rdr2 is anything to go by.

When you go into photo mode the fans actually cause time and space to fold in on themselves.

Definitely looking for something fun rather than overly challenging. Sold!

Doesnít seem to be any decent prices around so think I may as well get some psn credit off of cdkeys and go digital.

Like Decks says, the combat is bang on - not too mental but enough to make you think twice and react accordingly.

    You'll love it mate

Oh yeah, and it has some fucking cool hats.

My pros fans go mental but just stick on some headphones and ignore it

Yeah I canít really put headphones on as Iím normally listening out for kids. Not that I can hear them over the aeroplane anyway I guess.

Combat sounds like what I am looking for. Plus you know, hats.

Ha yeah, I have found that mask too. I've got Jin wearing a black bandana over the lower part of his face. I can't remember where I got it but it looks kinda funky.

Weirdly my Pro hasnít been too bad with this. Spins up occasionally but not as bad as most AAA games.

If you can wear headphones it's defintely the game for it, the soundtrack is fantastic.

I was thinking today that I was enjoying it more than TLoU2 but don't tell anybody or they'll pcik on me.
I finished Tlou2 which was great but dark and glad I jumped into this game. It's a beautiful, colorful game.

Been playing a lot of it since Saturday and enjoying the ride so far. Got some nice hats and a new tune for my flute so all is good with the world. :)

I need more flute tunes, my victims are complaining that I always play the same one.

Despite my initial reservations (most of which still stand, to be fair) Iím utterly hooked on this now. Now that Iím a bit further, have more moves and the enemies are more mixed up, Iím so in love with the combat now. Decided to ditch stealth (my normal default) as I just wasnít finding it satisfying, and Iím so glad I did so.

Lethal difficulty is actually quite enjoyable so far. Definitely increases the tension and requires you to use the ghost techniques to thin the herd. Not sure if I'll be able to handle the boss duels at this level but I'll see how I go.

The thing is, you travel to the second area and pretty much the first thing it does it tell you a load of settlements are being attacked in the first area!

The castle mission reasonably early in act 2 is far and away the best mission so far. Brilliant stuff.

I like using stealth occasionally just to mix up the encounters. The game would get stale for me much quicker if I was just initiating every encounter or stronghold with a standoff followed by a straight sword fight.

Stealth is a very good idea on missions with hostages you have to rescue. Yes, you can technically defend the hostages from attackers, but you don't get much time to do so and it's easy to get bogged down in other enemies if you haven't thinned the herd a bit first. Plus you might not know where all of the hostages are at the outset.

Oh, and stealth is mandatory for some of the main missions (with a failure and return to checkpoint if you're detected).

I like the stealth in this because it's not overly punishing as other games can be. Again, it's the way this game does things - no fuss, just get on with it.

I still like the way you can just pick stuff up whilst still on your horse. And attack. Saves so much pissing about.

What I like about how stealth works in this game is that you've always got the option of running away if your cover is blown (which doesn't always work in other games) and the enemies aren't all psychically linked so if you're found by one, it doesn't mean the whole area is suddenly hunting you.

On lethal, being surrounded by enemies really is, well, lethal. Chain assassination, maximising throwing knives, rolly pollies and smoke bombs are pretty much essential upgrades to aim for asap.

Also, there's a charm I've picked up somewhere that slowly regenerates health when not in combat. Compared to what the other charms give you it practically feels like a cheat mode.

@quadfather The "about to be detected" indicator is probably the best I've seen in a stealth game.

And agree on the convenience of picking stuff up from your horse. I didn't realise you could do it at first and was getting pissed off with the number of times I was having to dismount to pick up flowers. Then I noticed the little pick up prompt appeared while I was still mounted and felt a bit sheepish.
