    Just donít switch?
Unless youíre after achievements the travelers attire is pointless anyway.

You seem to be playing at a go for the platinum pace roguey. Just push on with some story, you will be in a good enough place with gear and resolve to push through the missions and side quests without too much issue.

Finally out of Act 1. Sadly, there's no way to view playtime in this that I know of, but it must be at least 15 hours or so. Starting to get slightly fatigued on it.
Likewise and i spent 20 hours on Act 1. Im just pushing on now with the story and nothing else.

Yes, I think I'll have to do that now. I've been off work and have put quite a lot of hours into GoT today and now I can feel boredom setting in a bit. I don't want to drop it, so picking up the pace seems the way to go.

Anyone think it rains too much for a colourful good looking game? I half suspect it rains every time you die. So that could be it.

If you play particularly aggressively, or use lots of ghost skills, the weather will change for the worse. You can always use the flute to change it back.

@Rogueywon That was sound advice, I never finished RDR2 and GTAVbecause I ost track/lost interest due to so much time filling in the map and exploring areas that then get 'uncovered' again in the story.

With my GoT run I'm finding myself pushing on with the story and enjoying it so far.

If I your clear all the enemy strongholds the map will clear - you donít need to do it by running around. Play through the story, do anything you want a long the way but focus on the enemy outposts as you find them and youíll clear each map in no time.

I hit the beginning of act 3 last night. Is it just me or does the game lose a bit of momentum when you finally get round to doing these big story driven missions only to be confronted by a big empty map for you to fill out?

I'm feeling that strongly at the moment at the start of act 2. Will need to try to push on a good bit today, as "big empty map with lots of icons" is a key factor in pushing me towards the "recently abandoned games" thread.

This is why I have RDR unfinished. Determined to be more focussed in this so I can actually complete it.

Yeah I got proper stuck into act 2 yesterday as well. The map is really beautiful on this one.
I like how the Mongol mobs are getting stronger with a little help...
Combat, or is it me is getting better. I've maxed out all the stances and mixing it up with ghost tools mid scrap.

To avoid burn out I'm going to skip any more chasing birds for Haikus and hot tubs, they piss me off.
Really enjoy the shrine climbs and following foxes though.

I'm still on act one, this fecker is huge! I have just done the Protect the Forge mission at least which promoted a lenthyish cinematic. I would be happy to conclude act 1 at some point over the weekend.

I love the bombs and throwing knives in this. Also only a couple of kills of the Captains/head guys off unlocking the forth stance. Although I have hardly adjusted in any combat, it goes without saying I am not playing on the hardest setting, but norm, so I assume that has an impact.

The stances aren't essential on normal duff but they do help. Especially the one for the guys with shields.

The spear chaps are a bit easier with the correct stance.

The automatic spear-parry skill is a godsend once you unlock it. Turns spearmen from "irritating and fiddly" into "trivial".

Standoffs have got a bit more tricksy in act 2. A couple more feints thrown in.

I'm focusing more in Act 2 as well, riding from one quest to the next at the moment and only doing extra stuff if it's fairly close to the location I'm in.

I completed the Gosaku quest yesterday and it was worth it! I love the armour reward, which I had dyed black at the specialist black dye merchant: https://i.imgur.com/1zXBHZk.jpg

Before that I got a cracking shot of a standoff too: https://i.imgur.com/yjrJai6.jpg

Going to focus on another Mythic quest today, it looks like there is a special attack unlocked at the end of this one.

I know the story isn't really the central thing people are fussed about with this game but I just googled a characters name and all the previews on the links had massive sodding spoilers on them...

Pushed on a bit into act 2 and thinned the map spam a bit. Feeling more positive now.

Haven't been on it for a few days but got stuck into chapter 2 a bit today and it's fantastic. The difficulty has upped a noch too, having some pretty great fights on hard.

Isn't it a case that the armour has predefined colours? Only on act 1 though so could be wrong.

Nah you can find people selling dye for them too. Doesn't matter anyway, the red Sakai armour is exactly what I was looking for.

I stand corrected! I must say though I wish I could remove the big shoulder shields on some of the armour, and needs more helmets. Not a fan of the straw hat

Dunno if it helps but you can flick between the different looks in the armour setting. Had the standard samurai armour look for ages as I didn't like the shoulder guards when it's upgraded.
