Yeah, the game doesn't exactly go out of its way to explain it! I only found out on the third act.

I did manage to get the trophy for playing the flute at a specific place by playing naturally though... It just felt like the right time for a bit of a flute jam!

It's annoying as some of the areas in Act 2 look absolutely stunning with nice weather.

I've only just started playing so that's good to know. The way I play it would have resembled a wet November day in Scunthorpe for the entirety of the game.

I think it's the more ninja like you play the more rainy it becomes.

    Oh.

Then my game will be bright and sunny as I'm useless at stealth shit.

I play this like most stealth action games: stealthy until you fuck up, then just massacre everyone.
A bit like the Sniper Elite games, all covert-ops and before you know it you're gunning down waves of Nazis and piling up their bodies and laughing... Or is that just me?

So far, I can't resist the urge to call people out. I'm playing on hard, and I am shit, so 3 easy kills are hard to pass up!

Yeah it's so good. I just did the mission where you meet an old mate and you both get attacked, and it begins with a standoff, so you get a nice, epic moment with the grass billowing in the wind before you clash. And, like I say, I'm really shit, so I was able to enjoy that scene many, many times!

Considering that it came out 5 months ago, I'd say chances are slim that they'll get around to it now.

Maybe Edwin will do a piece analysing the word "Legends" and it's origins and possible applications for relieving the demand for social housing in converted lighthouses

This game is up there with my favourites of the last gen!

48 hrs in an just completed act 2. Absolutely gut punched me when Nobu died! I feel like John Wick now!.

If this game had a more rpg element to the story ala witcher 3 then it would probably be one of the best games of all time for me.

It's a fantastic game alright, one of my all time favourites. I'm in act 3 now and will miss it when it's finished.

I started a new game of this (on hard) to see what it looks like on PS5. Already a stunner on PS4 but with 60 fps everything looks even more solid and real. The opening scenes in the game are excellent and the game starts in such a good way, pisses all over AC games in that respect.

I really fucking hate Kojiro man. What a prick.

2 hours straight of failing to beat him on hard... what is this, Sekiro!? Had to turn it down to medium in the end and even then it was a struggle.

27 hours in and Iíve just finished the first area. I absolutely adore this game, nearly everything about it. Itís beautiful, just wandering around collecting bamboo and flowers is a joy.

I think one of the only things Iíd change is I wish there werenít any collectibles in populated houses. Iíll do a little bow to the occupant after Iíve hopped through their window and proceed to crawl under the house looking for supplies. Makes me feel a bit daft.

I got this in the sale, it's pretty good but feels like I'm mastering the combat within the first area and it all feels a bit samey and safe. I don't think the game has surprised me once yet.

It's pretty classic Sucker Punch (and video games in general really) stuff.
You'll get tankier enemies, ranged enemies etc and the game gets tougher in line with your abilities. It never really gets hard though, so if that's a turn off then it's probably not the game for you.

I felt the same about the combat at first, but the stances genuinely open up different strategies. However, the camps etc. are immersion breaking in the way they're heavily segmented and you repeatedly take on a handful of enemies at a time, with the other areas of the camp remaining oblivious; Shadow of Mordor feels like the closest peer and did this much better.

@Trowel I know what you mean about the immersion breaking. You can be making an absolute racket, but the next group of enemies canít hear you if youíre out of their area. Thatís what I meant about the collectible supplies, it takes you out of the role playing. I love playing it straight, and would probably prefer if there is was less to do in some regards, making it more streamlined and cinematic.

    Still a great game though.
