    1. Batman the Telltale Series (PS4)
    A. Episode 1 (6/1/18) (8/10)
    B. Episode 2 (6/1/18) (7.5/10)

First fifth of a game added (all eps will make 1 game entry but rating and dating per ep).

Got this on PSPlus so though it was time to give it a try. Plot has done a decent job of getting hooks in. Graphics are okay (Wolf Among Us remains my favourite Telltale for looks). The investigation and battle plans were a nice new touch that fit the character. One scene with an odd graphics bug where Bruce has his neck cricked 90 degrees but otherwise no problems.

Plan to finish this off as well as Inside when Inget the chance. Main handheld remains Strange Journey.

Edit - finished episode 2. Had some horrible graphical glitches in prologue and then a crash but was fine for rest of game. Story is taking a different tack from Batman I have experienced (not a great amount) but felt ablittle less meaty than ep1. Nice to have choices of who to do a scene as.

    #1 06/01 Lego City Undercover (PS4)

First game down, and it was alright, pretty standard Lego game with simple gameplay and amusing moments. Finished with 30% and it looks like the rest of the game is a massive grind of repetitive tasks so doubt I'll bother with that.

    #1 - 01/01 - South Park: The Fractured But Whole (PS4)
#2 - 08/01 - My Name is Mayo (PS Vita) Platinum

I clicked a jar of Mayo. 10,000 times. Whilst it was wearing silly costumes.

    1. Batman the Telltale Series (PS4) (8/10) PLAT
    A. Episode 1 (6/1/18) (8/10)
    B. Episode 2 (6/1/18) (7.5/10)
    C. Episode 3 (8/1/18) (8/10)
    D. Episode 4 (8/1/18) (7.5/10)
    E. Episode 5 (9/1/18) (8/10)

Less buggy chapter and a few story surprises which was nice. Still enjoying this take on Batman.

Should he almost finished Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey too as seem to be heading to final Neutral boss (although there may turn out to be a bit more stuff to do first)

Edit - finished chapter 4. Enjoying story beats and trying to avoid 'outside knowledge'. Another crash right at the end annoyed me a little. One more chapter to go.

Edit 2 - finished the game. No bugs in Ep 5 thankfully. Enjoyed the story overall and curious about some of the choices that appear to reach into season 2. Nice PSPlus bonus game anyway. And my first game of 2018. Now to finish off Strange Journey...

Finally ticked off my first game for 2018

    Splatoon 2

A decent Squidal. As a whole package you can't go wrong, an addictive online multiplayer shooter, and a story mode that is the sum of its parts. The single player is fun, although nothing too special. It is often inventive and it does the job, sometimes a lot better than a lot of Multilayer orientated shooters but It just didn't surprise like the first game, its more of the same and at times it is functional rather than special. But it is a game that is vibrant and with a lot of character and if you get into it, you'll get a lot of mileage out of it.

    4/5

    1# Splatoon 2 4/5 11/1/18

    Game 1: Sniper Elite 4 (ps4) 9/10 beat on 1/1/18
    Game 2: RE revelations 2 (ps4) 9/10 beat on 12/1/18

Excellent and crazy old school/style Resi.

    1)Xenoblade Chronicles 2 15/01

Enjoyed the setting and the world in general, beautiful soundtrack (much improved over xenoblade X) and the characters grew on me eventhough the repetition of battle phrases is ridiculous (I know it can be muted).
The battle system of the xenoblade games have never appealed to me I'm not sure why they're praised it's all style and no substance. Alot of waiting around for meters to fill and once filled cancel a standard attack into it rinse and repeat. Every move feels similar to the others status affects have little value to the fight when they last for so little time, even with buffs. Despite me hating the battle system I just love the atmosphere of the game it's full of JRPG Clichés and all the better for it

    8.5/10

    2) Wolfenstein 2 PC 29/01 (7.5/10)
    3)The Turing Test PC 02/02 (6/10)
4)Zelda Breath of the Wild Switch 26/02 (7.5/10)
    5)Valley PC 26/02 (6/10)
    6)Steins Gate 0 01/03 (8/10)
    7)Quantum Break PC 05/03 (4/10)
    8)Super Mario Odyssey 05/03 (9.5/10)
    9)I am Setsuna Switch 16/04 (6/10)
    10)God of War PS4 13/05 (10/10)
    11)Far Cry 5 PS4 21/05 (5/10)
    12)Mighty Gunvolt Burst Switch 22/05 (6/10)
    13)Beyond Two Souls PS4 14/06 (6/10)

    #1: Call of Duty WW2 (campaign): 7/10
    #2: Blue Reflection: 9.5/10
    #3: Forza Motorsport 7: 9/10
    #4: Nioh: 8/10

Forza 7 very decent. Best instalment since 4. Liked Nioh, didn't love it, would like to play a sequel/spiritual successor that fixes some of the more glaring flaws. Got a couple of other games approaching completion I hope to be able to add to the list soon (Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and the expansion for The Surge).

    Alright boys let's do this.

    #1 Pan Pan
Picked this up hoping for something light that looked nice. Sort of banking on an art style like Monument Valley without being as interesting. 4/10

    #2 Golf Story
Great little RPG that reminds me in all the best ways of Mario Golf. Really enjoyed this. 9/10

I think I'll pick up Golf Story soon. It'll be decent for handheld for when the tv is taken.

    @uberbeard

I found Golf Story very repetitive and felt it involved a lot of busywork. There were too many hit the zone challenges for my liking. It's good at the start but has a long but in the middle that felt very tedious.

@rice_sandwich I regret starting starting it whilst playing Dragon Quest. I currently have any RPG and an RPG-lite on the go.

Im still enjoying it though. Its my go to game before bed, like Picross was before.

    @DangerousDave_87

Golf Story isn't a bad game at all. I feel it has various design issues holding it back. On the whole it's a fun game with a few rough edges.

I'll never do 52 but this thread has motivated me to at least try to diminish my crazy backlog.

    #1 What Remains of Edith Finch - 8/10 - beat on 1/1/18
#2 Horizon Zero Dawn The Frozen Wilds - 8/10 - beat on 11/1/18
    #3 Firewatch - 7/10 - beat on 16/1/18

    Currently playing through Pyre...

I'll never get to 52 either, think last year I only managed something like 30. Off to quite a good start this year though!

#1 The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. 9/10 beat on 11/1
    #2 Journey. 10/10 beat on 11/1

I bounced off Journey hard when it first came out, but after finishing Zelda was looking through the backlog for something short and thought I'd give it another chance for 10 minutes to see if I felt differently. Ended up playing the whole thing in one sitting - fantastic game, beautiful art style and so clever in terms of the multiplayer communication. Not sure why it didn't click with me the first time but glad it did eventually.

    Now onto Wolfenstein 2!

    #1 What Remains of Edith Finch (PS4 Pro) - 8/10 - beat on 1/1/18
#2 Horizon Zero Dawn The Frozen Wilds (PS4 Pro) - 8/10 - beat on 11/1/18
    #3 Firewatch (PS4 Pro) - 7/10 - beat on 16/1/18
    #4 Pyre (PS4 Pro) - 7/10 - beat on 20/1/18

Pyre is a unique game, fantasy RPG mixed with, erm, a basketball type game. Well presented but ultimately a bit repetitive.

    #1 04/01 Xenoblade Chronicles 2 9/10
    #2 19/01 Yakuza 0 9.5/10

This game man, I planned to blitz through it just to get it of my backlog by many many nights were spent on mini games, sub stories or just diving about in the world. It’s so good! Can’t wait to start kiwami and 6 now :)

    1. 7th Dragon III code: VFD. 3DS.
    2. Civ 6. PC. Fackin hell, this is truly broken. Played 5 games, lost 4 even on easy. First game, I was doing ok and then the US entered the Atomic age in 1600, science loss soon after. Next games, the AI which is now uber aggressive, just spammed loads of units and destroyed me. I couldn't afford any defense. It's really bust. Guess I'll just go any play civ 4 instead.

#2 - 08/01 - My Name is Mayo (PS Vita) Platinum
#3 - 21/01 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

What else can I say that hasn't already been said about it, absolutely incredible. Completed in around 55-60 hours so as you can probably imagine, still so much left to see and do should I want to. Brilliant stuff.

Think now I will try and finish Broken Age on PS4, finally get that out of the way.

Think I'll use this thread to note down my progress.
Don't know the dates so I'll just do by month.

    January
    (3DS)
    1: Fire Emblem Echoes
2: Zelda: Link between two worlds
    3: Double Dragon II

Caught up with the Oct/November backlog during the Christmas holiday - with the exception of Shadow of War which I'm currently 60% through.

#1 Hitman Absolution - Fancied another run, so played it on XO via backwards compatibility. Finished the campaign this evening. 7/10.
#2 Tales from the Borderlands - Again, played this originally on PS4, picked it up for a couple of quid on Xbone and finished it again. 8/10.

@DangerousDave_87 haha yeah my first completion last year was the 22nd, by the 21st I am on three with the last one being a 60 hour game!

Think there is a chance I could get Broken Age finished today as well...
