Okay, I haven't wrote in English for years so I'll do my best and hope you all understand what I wanna say (it's nothing really important) :D
I'm from Germany and although I come to Eurogamer (and Digital Foundry) for some years now, I just recently discovered this forum.
And I have to say: You guys are SO FUNNY! Sometimes I have tears in my eyes from laughing. You are now officially my alltime bedtime-programm. Nothing is better than to have a good laugh before sleep.
It's difficult for me to say this in English but the way you handle all that horrific (and hilarious) wrongdoing of Trump or that "crazy people in america shooting each other"-stuff - you take it with such a good humour and sarcasm - I'm still laughing from reading some posts weeks ago.
The poop-diaries-thread is also a favourite of mine. So damn funny (and disgusting) :D
I never really took notice when somebody said British people are funny - but since I know YOU people, I have to fully agree! :D

So, I have to say THANK YOU for making me smile. But why taking the time to open a new thread for this?

Because it's really a long time since I had reason to laugh. This year 2017... was and still is a nightmare for me. Everything that could go wrong in life DID go wrong in my life. I'm pretty alone by now, I have no one anymore. Being all by myself is hard and few months ago I was ready to put an end to all this.
But in the past few weeks I decided to go on... take what is left of my strength and try to get out of this fucking sad and weird situation I'm currently in. It's still a long way to go but all my hope rests on the new year - that I'll be able to make a fresh start....

So, again, thank you for this funny place I've found. Please never stop posting (just for this I hope Trump stays president just a bit longer).
I now know where I can go to if the world tries to fuck me over again!

As you see, my English is basic only so don't expect much more posts from me - it would be way too boring for this place :)

    Cheers

If you want to be precise it's actually called a "Wurstbrötchen".

hm okay. :D my family has some issues too, but not SUCH issues. So no, I'm no Fritzl!

EDIT: But I know how it usually goes when a German enters a English speaking group. So I'm open for any bratwurst, Brezel, Sauerkraut and of course - Nazi jokes! :D

I think they spiders.

For some reason I kept thinking Josef Fritzl was the one that kept Natascha Kampusch locked up (who most recently looks like she's been trying to eat enough to make up for lost time over the past ten years). I seem to be losing track of all these Austrian basement kidnappers.

like usual I'm better in reading/understanding English than in writing/speaking it. I'm living in a small village in the deepest woods so I'm glad to find someone who speaks accent free German, not to mention English:D

Hmm, is there such a thing as accent free German? They tried to produce a standard English back in the day, but RP was such a weirdly off-center upper class sound that these days it's considered definitely not normal, and is rarely heard on TV any more. Most English people just assume it's everyone else that is talking badly.

Yes, there is indeed. It's called Hochdeutsch (high-German :) ) and it's totally accent free. And then there are the different accents depending on which corner of Germany you come from. Sometimes even as a German it sounds like a completely different language...
