My granny could make a more professional ad than that, and she's been dead for 27 years. -

What the fuck does Harry Redknapp have to do with games anyway? Poor old Harry. Not good with his money. -

Went into GAME yesterday for the first time in years. The retailer had a one day, £15 offer on the CoD Infinite War/MW Remaster Edition and a friend of mine wanted to take advantage of what was a very good deal.
What happened next was just pathetic.
Having not found any of said game on their shelves we enquired at the counter. The assistant pulled out a copy of Infinite War with the season pass for £35. After explaining to him it was the wrong one he just stood there with a blank look on his face before asking a colleague who also knew nothing about the deal.
"The one being advertised on that big screen in your shop window!" said my buddy.
Both sales assistants then went outside and waited for the advert to pop up and when it did they returned sheepishly stating "they weren't aware of it until that moment".
Then they couldn't find the game...worse still, neither could the manager who had come from out of the back by this point.
It was then the store manager, who having eventually found a copy of the game in question stuffed away in a drawer said to his staff "Oh yeah guys, this is £15 just for today".
It was 5:20pm at this point. 10 minutes to closing.
Epic fail all round.
I had to stifle laughter as I left with my friend. What a painful retail experience that was, and a good reminder why I no longer personally shop at GAME and buy most my games digitally or via online retailers.
Why anyone would be sad to see these clowns close down is utterly baffling.

Registered 5 years agoAt least they have a manager. The one near me was managerless for a good year, with two sales assistants covering those extra duties whilst on minimum wage. -

That's actually appalling. UK retail really is the worst.

You made that out to be a lot lot worse than it was. So they didn’t know a one day deal because their manager didn’t let them know? Maybe the manager didn’t want to shout that deal from the rooftops because they probably made next to no money from it or possibly even lost money
I used to work in GAME and I fucking hated customers come in and expect us to know everything about everything and when we didn’t know they look at you as if your an absolute moron with their cunt smug faces.
