They’ve all tanked because of the Bitcoin cash stuff. My ether has taken a hammering. They seem to be creeping back again though.

Creeping back towards what though? Etehreerryeiermeuememmm was above 500 this July, below 180 atm.

Shitcoin was above 1900, is below 4600 atm. These will bounce back just like all Ponzi schemes bounce back.

What happened on the 13th November? That was when BTC dropped massively, from $6000+ to currently around $4500. Seems as though Bitcoin could reverse all it's gains it made a year ago in the back end of 2018.

Edit: That's also the date ETH dropped massively as well. I'm assuming people use BTC to buy ETH?

    This is pretty hilarious/unbelievable.

Cotten, 30, had sole responsibility for handling the funds and coins.

In court documents filed with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court on 31 January, his widow Jennifer Robertson, says the laptop on which Cotten "carried out the companies' business is encrypted and I do not know the password or recovery key".

"Despite repeated and diligent searches, I have not been able to find them written down anywhere," the affidavit states.
Are you sure it isn't written on a Post-it Note somewhere? Righto.

Perfectly in line with what I'd expect from a Ponzi scheme built by the absolute bottom dredge of humanity.

Twitter has several unsubstantiated posts suggesting just that.

One of the Cofounders Michael Patryn, has been a using a fake name. His real name is Omar Dhanani who was convicted of fraud in the United States and was released in 2007.

    Paying withdrawals via customer deposits.

To be fair most banks are leveraged 3:1 or so iirc.

30 year old with the only password to access $140M dies suddenly while abroad. Let me guess, it was local custom that the body had to be cremated within 48 hours?

Dodged a bullet, registered at the weekend but talked myself out of making my first order. Always think it's crazy when these go down, how many businesses are totally reliant on such an unstable platform that can vanish overnight. They'll be a lot of vendor's feeling the sting.

It's still up and working, so I am told. It's been under DDOS for weeks though. They are not accepting any new deposits but if you have money in there you can still buy stuff or withdraw the coins, according to a friend. It's not an exit scam like with some of the previous markets.

Yeah it was the ddos that stopped me ordering. Still have a non darkweb solution as fallback but it's international so not as convenient.

If you're thinking of buying in now it's already too late.

But if you must, don't HODL.

I sold mine on Friday thinking it’d bounce back down off 10k, looks like that was a bad decision.

Still made a few quid though.
