    God, that extra detail kills me- my kids are roughly similar ages, can't even imagine. Strength to you and yours Reacher. Me and Mrs Hedben argued about whether kids even benefit from a funeral but FWIW I'm absolutely on the side of "don't make them miss what they might regret later"

    retro74 has the honour of taking it over 1.5k.

    And I can echo the previous comments of getting teary eyed at the comments on the JG page. Reacher, I'm sure you are, but you should be immensely proud of both yourself and Matthew. He clearly had a positive impact on many lives.

    Thanks man. I'm umming and ahhing over it a lot, but I'd rather make them go to something that they can remove themselves from, rather than make them miss something they will never get back.

    I think your 10 year old is a no brainer, just ask what he wants to do.

    The 4 year old is a bit tougher. My 7 year old had her first funeral 2 years ago (though that was a great uncle she was close to so obviously a bit different to losing a sibling). I simply asked her what her wishes were and she said she wanted to say goodbye and was OK if a little upset during the service.

    Did the same this time with my mum's one and she not only said yes but wants to get up and speak at it the brave girl. :eek:

    @bertie

    Just wanted to say thanks to you and the rest of the crew for supporting this.

    I don't think there would be many 'organisations' that would support a customer (Reacher in this case) of theirs like you all have here, and I thought it was commendable and worthy of being highlighted.

    You'll all still be negged and moaned at the next time you rate a game people don't agree with, but for now you've probably all earned a deserved +5 to your Respect skill.

    Apart from Craigy. He only gets a +3. He's got to deliver a portable view if he wants higher.

    Thank you to everyone that has posted and/or donated. It's not just words on a screen. It's helping out other people who are in the same situation I was in and in my sons name.

    I'm going really bad through the grieving process atm, proper up and down through periods of misery and acceptance. I just wanted to thank you all for everything you've done.

    All the best lads & lasses

    Rich
