My condolences reacher. Missed this as was looking for the Christmas thread. The YouTube video has genuinely left me in tears.

Made a small donation and have encouraged people i know to do the same.

Aye, nothing more I can say other than the above really.

On an unrelated note, the charity has emailed me to say thanks again, to pass on their regards to you Reacher and your family as well, and to say a huge thanks to the Eurogamer community. They're very touched.

They have asked if I would speak to them about the community and for this to be a bit of a case study. I'd rather that decision came from you though Reacher. It doesn't feel like it's my decision to make.

When you feel like you have both the time and energy to discuss it, send me a PM and I'll forward their email on to you so we can discuss. I'm happy to go with whatever you would prefer.

Hi all

Quick update, Reacher has said now that the funeral has taken place, the page can come down. I know some were waiting for pay day, so this is a "last chance" reminder for anyone still thinking of giving.

My intention is to close the page tomorrow evening, so if anyone needs until the end of the week, please let me know.

Could a mod also please unsticky the thread tomorrow evening, so there is no confusion.

Reacher is happy for the charity to use this as a case study of a community coming together, so I'll reply to their email about that.

Finally, thanks to everyone that contributed and came together. It has further raised my opinion of many of you, and raised some of you from 'tit' to 'not quite so much of a tit' status. So well done.
