Registered 9 years agoIts not taking into account digital though. Pubg sold a million copies in 24 hours on the Xbox which would sit it firmly at the top I would imagine. I know that's a worldwide figure but even so its sales here should have probably been enough.

Registered 16 years agoCount the exclusives, neilka. Count them! Then disregard them because they're pretty much meaningless nowadays.
I'm a bit surprised to see WWE 2k18 in there. I thought those games were niche enough that they made a little money but never worried the charts. -

Registered 5 years agoAt least 6 of those games are titles I wouldn't even bother loading up if they were given to me for free. I wonder whether it's a sign that I'm getting old.
Bah, humbug. -

Registered 9 years agoCan't believe GTAV is still in there! Admittedly, I must be one of the few who have yet to buy it (I like the look of it, but just never found the time and after so long was waiting on a sale that never came), but that's an incredible performance.
Also, good to see EA being punished for all their loot box BS....... -

Registered 20 years agoGTA's high sales are driven by its move to being a semi-freemium(?) model, where the cheapest way to buy the in-game money for online is to buy a new copy of the game. -

Registered 14 years agoNews just came out that digital sales will also be counted starting from 2019.
That's a pretty long time to wait, though. -
Did MCV just use a quote attributed to WW1 to announce Cod:WW2 being top of their charts?

Would you say that the switch has so many games, you don't have time to play them all?

Registered 8 years ago@nickthegun I think all the major platforms have strong libraries at this point. I've bought Switch games I haven't gotten round to playing yet, but the same applies to PS4 and Xbox One also. -

Wham, surely. They were on the cusp of breaking up at the time of Last Christmas, but it still counts as Wham I recall.

Yep. Over two hundred games for the system last time I heard anyone counting.
Mind you, at the moment, just for our five would be too many for me.
