| @Ror I'd be alright with a grittier, darker Fable as long as it retains it's Britishness and wit. |

EDIT Wasn't the rejected Fable 4 pitch supposed to be darker, grittier..? I'm sure I remember reading that.

I'm having loads of fun with Horizon combat on harder difficulties. It's not a masterpiece but deserves the success imo, and looks unbelievably good.
I think, in the wake of The Witcher 3, Zelda: BotW and having been greenlit partly thanks to the success of Horizon (I really do need to pick up a copy of that)), this will be a very different kind of Fable. How do fans feel about that possibility?
And I'm fine with a change of direction with Fable, as 3 seemed to run out of steam. Partly because Peter Molyneux added a totally shit wardrobe evey time you paused for no apparent reason. Fable 2s cham was ace, but it wasn't the best gameplay, and I don't think the serries was ever as financially successful as it should have been anyway. -

Registered 12 years agoReally loved Fable 1 and was severely disappointed by Fable 2. The second one felt really buggy to play in terms of combat (really go back and try play it now, you willbe surprised at how floaty the combat feels).
The atmosphere and music has always been top notch and I actually look forward whata technical accomplished team could do with the IP (although Lionhead was screwed over with Fable legends because it was microsoft pushing cloud based multiplayer and what not). -
I loved Fable and Fable 2. Didn’t play the third one, nor anything else that was written within the IP.
I know it’s not often a popular thing to say around these parts, but a good new Fable would probably convince me to buy an Xbox to go alongside my PS4.
