I've had loads of fun poking fun at the prequels, and I have genuinely enjoyed the three recent films.

I've also played some awesome computer games, including TIE-Fighter and Dark Forces (both after your cut-off), and KOTOR.

Even if your opinion is that they sucked and you would have preferred not to watch them, that still doesn't mean they should not have done them. You can just decide not to watch them - no skin of your back. The 87% of people that liked Rogue One on Rotten Tomatoes on the other hand would not have been able to see it.

These new films will be separate from both the episodic Skywalker saga and the recently-announced trilogy being developed by Rian Johnson, writer-director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

I hope they do move away from the current time period in Star Wars. The way I see it, the coolest Star Wars stuff I have seen in recent years were all the story trailers Bioware did for SWTOR.

No reason they can�t go back to when there were armies of Sith and Jedi. I�m assuming that�s where they�re going with this but I could be wrong.

Don�t think it�ll be long before we get two Star Wars films a year.

Same here. I'm going to watch 8 again when it comes out on Bluray and see if I can change my mind, but I couldn't remember ever being so underwhelmed by a SW movie. Even Episode 2, whose Naboo romance scenes were pretty much where the series hits rock bottom, impressed me more than Episode 8.
